UK's new internet laws, are we going to lose our anonymity, and become as heavily censored and monitored as China, North Korea, Russia etc?

I think Lemmy effectively sidestepped the whole PC minefield with his statement about him only being interested in how good he thought the items looked.

He wasn't trying to be clever, nor acting dumb, but I guess most people would be negatively judged for having such collections.

It's really not a discussion you could have on any forum without being portrayed as anti semitic.

Yeah, it'll probably be illegal to refer to anything like that in positive terms before long, if the PC internet police continue to have their way.

But Lemmy was thoroughly old school. You could believe him. (Well I could, at least.)

Well his last girlfriend was black and they were together about 20 years, that's definitely the case

Aside from that, he was most definitely anti-authoritarian, libertarian type, but with strong leanings towards social justice, equality, openly anti-war and openly pro-gay etc.

Great fella, authentic. Would have been multi-cancelled by now however, not that he'd have given a toss.

Yeah it's sad we can't have "grown up discussions "(a buzz word for politics)
When can we ,is there a time frame ,does everybody who ever lost a relative during the war have to be dead for 50 years .
There is no stigma attached to discussing Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge or the atrocities in the Belgian Congo ,Rwandan genocide (so recent I remember following it on the news ) the list goes on

Yeah, I've seen at least 2 'rockumetary' type things about him, and he always struck me as incredibly down to earth, (considering his fame and lifestyle,) and he put the world to rights by talking absolutely sound sense. And he was an absolute gent too.

A bit like John Lydon, at his best, was known for doing on occasion, putting the world to rights by talking sense, although Lydon seemed more 'piercing' in his insights, many times. Maybe that was just his style.

What was great about both characters, was that were speaking their own minds, and not re-hashing some second hand ideas that they had heard or read somewhere else.

It's amazing how lyrics in a song can mean so much ,especially if your partner feels the same
I'm lucky my wife has the same taste in music I do
When I say taste I don't favour any genre's of music ,if a song or artist is good it's good ,end of .

I have heavy bipolar. She was schizoffactive with epilepsy. We were an odd couple, but we had such fun. I miss those days.
