I still like to blame it on Tories because they're generally ugly and stupid. Arbitrary? Yeo. Satisfactory? Aye.
LOL :D Thoroughly agree with Mr Grim here. Has to be quote of the week.

Given my mother the medical care she needed to not die giving birth to me, and me the medical attention that I would have died as a child without, given me an education, provided the law and order so that I can sleep relatively peacefully at night knowing that there's some kind of system in place to protect me from thieves and murderers... how would these services have been provided without a government? My family certainly could not have afforded it, and I know you're not an anarcho-capitalist, I don't see what alternative you advocate? Having a state is a good thing, we don't look at places without a government and think "Gee, I wish I lived in Somalia, it looks fucking great!".What the fuck has statist infrastructure done for you that couldn't be accomplished otherwise?
Convenience is not necessity.

I can imagine an alternative, a pure libertarian capitalist system. It doesn't seem appealing to me (or to any sensible person, I imagine). In any case, doing away with the state without any idea of what we hope to replace it with is imprudent and short-sighted.Just because we can't imagine an alternative, doesn't mean it isn't possible. One of the central problems with modern state-centered capitalism is it works very hard to close down the very possibilities of alternatives.

I have a degree in philosophy, and I used to be an anarchist, so your characterisation of me as being ignorant is frankly pretty insulting. I have plenty more to say on the matter, but it's late and I'm going to bed. I can resume this at some other point if anyone is actually interested in hearing my ideas.

You guys gave research chemicals a bad name. One day you'll thank the government.
awesome. thats 2 pay cheques. 2*stupid amounts of drugs. twice as safe right? no, think i have that the wrong way round. anything that even remotely encourages the stockpiling of drugs is great HR. of course its me doing the stockpiling so they'll probably shove that responsibility to me. whilst taking the responsibility to put whatever the fuck i like in my body away.
i'm quite annoyed at how upset i am about this. admittedly drunk, but etizolam was a kind of safety net, and my other safety net didn't respond last couple of times i contacted him with a shitload of cash ready to send his way.
