UK Ketamine Shortage

Would have had to carry out their time - same thing is happening now in the US over the cannabis charges.

Reclassifying to B is ridiculous, either should have been left as it was or reclassified to A if they insist on retaining the current system. AFAIK it's medical use only affects it's scheduling rather than it's classification. It's probably in the top 5 drugs people end up in treatment/at the services for now along with opiates, benzos, booze and cocaine.

It's pretty sickening and these are being lobbied trying to get people who are serving stupid sentences for owning / selling a small amount (which the government is now doing in the same states). Some have no criminal pasts, no violence was involved just buying / selling a bit of pot.

I think it's crazy that ket fucks people up so bad. I know there's never been that big of a scene for it here but I've never known of anyone who has had a problem with it other than regularly sniffing too much at the weekends and ending up in a state. Seems like it's totally different in places where it is the main DOC.

It is. It's sickening that anyone is in jail for getting a smoke (or facilitating someone else getting a smoke). Cunts are in jail over this joint I'm smoking the now, it's fucking disgusting.

I think it's a generational thing as much as anything, I know that in my age group-especially on the free party scene- it's use was absolutely rampant. I know so many people who have had full blown ketamine addictions and so many more for whom they've used it excessively very regularly.

Are people still struggling to obtain? Being getting pre-drought stuff, amazing, but can't stop! All my money is going up my nose.

Bought some yesterday, it was £25s, it was ketamine (and it was cooked ffs).

Other than the price everything was par for the course.

Let us know how you get on with that Dutch Racemic. Been tempted to try that myself.

Wasn't overly impressed with it to be honest. Had a g of that and a g of his S+. Was just sitting in myself and must have done about 300mg of the racemic and couldn't hole, moved on to the S+ and had a few lines of that as well and managed to hole a wee bit but not for long. Would say I did at least half a gram in total. Hoping its not down to tolerance.

Ketamine, oh Ketamine, where for art thou decent Ketamine. Why does the K in Manc have to be so SHIT!

I was under the impression it was back everywhere. Certainly is in south England.

You might be in the shit in Manc though because those boys got busted with 225kg or whatever near you and they were probably responsible for the entireity of the area's supply. Going to take a while for new people to move in.

Yeah, I was thinking that but it's been like 5 months or something since then, people have got it but it's either not k or cut with salt. Plus it's super expensive now. Makes me wish I was down south!

I very, very much doubt that.

We're talking a conurbation with just under a quarter of the population of Greater London, and covering about a third of the area. I'd imagine it dented the supply, but I can't see any one group of people being responsible for the whole area's supply; in fact, I know that's not the case.

They talk funny, look funny, the beer's shite. It ain't worth it, even for ketamine.

You would be surprised just what a percentage of the supply to an area is often controlled by one group or syndicate. Take out the right people and it can destroy the chain for a while. I'm sure there's still people running bits and pieces of ketamine around the Manchester area but it wouldn't suprise me at all if it's a case of all the lower level dealers having to look elsewhere for supply whereas before the vast majority of them were buying from that one group (probably without even knowing that the people they were buying from were linked as a group, each person just having a single contact).

When Panorama ran that program on the one single dude in India who was brokering the deals between English importers and ketamine coming out of the back door of Indian factories it made a huge impact on the UK market despite the fact shitloads of the UK supply comes from China these days. They took out one single guy and the market was on it's arse for ages, never returning to the same price level it was at before that investigation.
