Bear Gryills (umm, made up name?) shows a couple good skills such as heading for a river, what to eat, what to drink and what not to drink, but some of the stuff he does will get the average person killed.
In Moab, he swims under a big deadwood snag in a slot canyon, then scales a verticle wall to get out. STUPID!!! Most people will drown or break their leg in this situation. He acts like it is the only option! Also, he talks about being careful on the lava field, then runs full speed through it jumping over flows. You call that being carful? And although he makes mention of staying on the deserted island indefinitely, he procedes to make some shants and drift off into the middle of the ocean. Good idea if you like heat stroke and death by shark attack...
He should be more clear about what is entertaining and what is actually a good idea.
