TV: Lost

ya same here, can't believe the damn finale is next episode(s)!!!

who're you guys thinking is in the coffin?

I'm predicting right now that keamy dies in the finale ;) (which sucks, I really liked him lol)

I dunno. I hope they keep keamy alive. His character could provide a brilliant new dynamic on the show. I think future interactions between him and Ben could make for some compelling television, especially if he comes around or has some sort of epiphany that makes him change his tune about what to do with the island. Hell, for all we know he is still on the island with the others who stayed behind.

I'm also really itching to learn what the deal is with Miles, Daniel and Charlot is. They all seem to know a lot more than they are letting on... Charlot especially.

The finale is shaping up to be an amazing three hours.

I'm going to watch it tonight, I'm not fully up to date but seen enough to kinda know what's going on.

Really enjoying what I've seen of this series. Had me on the edge of my seat. :)

definitely try starting it at the first episode of the series - I know I thought it was muuuuuch better after having restarted it that way. Also there's some video, I can't recall the name but it basically summarizes everything to this point, I think it's on abc's site.

Can't beleive nobodies been talking up a storm about this weeks episode.

What's bothering me is that episode with the flashback/forward where Jin is alive but not married to Sun and doesn't seem to know she exists but in this episode Jin is not one of the 6. I have no idea how they're going to resolve that unless it's an alternate timeline or something...

when jin was buying the panda, smashed his cell phone? That was a flashback, while in that episode sun was having a flashforward.

1st part of the finale was killer, but it seems they were just laying the groundwork for the real finale in (2?!?) weeks.

Maybe the explosives they found on the boat? Could be that Sayid takes Sun away from the boat, and Jin and Desmond die?

spoiler below:

(white text needs highlighting:
jin doesn't die, he is on the island in the future, plz don't ask for references just google if you disbelieve ;)

I must say, the long wait has left me less pumped that I otherwise might have been. I'm going to have very little patience if this season doesn't start tickling my fancy right off the bat.

I am confused. How is there no discussion whatsoever about the recent season of LOST?

^ Oh it's still popular, I know. But is there just no mystery left in it, nothing left to discuss?

The great thing about the first few seasons of Lost was that it just kept you guessing. It teased viewers with hints of a whole new perspective on the fabric of reality. And now that the dots are getting connected, and the answers tend to be more similar to ones we've seen in other science fiction stories, is there really much else to do besides sit back and watch the plot lines wrap up?

Huh!?? I have all sorts of questions.

1) What happened to Claire?

2) Why Did Eloise send Desmond to the island for three years? Did widmore ask her to do this just to get rid of him?

3) Given the relationship between widmore and eloise, as well as that between widmore and Linus, Why was eloise working with Linus on the outside? Shouldn't she hate him? Or did her relationship with widmore sour as well? How exactly is that whole group connected? Why are they doing what they are?

3) What exactly is the deal with Jacob and his nemesis? Every time in the show we saw someone whowas dead or out of place, was that the nemesis, acting towards opening his elaborate "loophole" to kill Jacob? And why can't he just do it himself? Who exactly are Jacob and the nemesis? They seem to be more powerful than ordinary humans. Is all this some sort of game to them?

4) How and why is Richard eternally the same age, and what is his overall purpose?

5) Who are the new people in the show who seem to be acting on Jacob's behalf? I am referring to Ilana and the group that is with her on the island, who seem to be the same people who tried to dissuade Miles from going to the island in exchange for Widmore's money.

6) Why, when the plane “crashed” again recently, did some people go back in time 30 years (Jack, Kate, Hurley,Sayid), while some went back to the island in present time (Linus, Ilana, Sun, Lapidus, and Locke’s body)? Does Jacob control when in time they “arrive” on the island? Why did Jacob go back to the mainland and contact the various characters? Was this part of his plan to thwart the plan of his nemesis?
7) What is this absurd plan to detonate the H Bomb? As Miles kept saying, this is their “present,” so they can die, and if they do, they are dead. So why are they destroying themselves with a bomb on the assumption that it will change things in another reality? This makes no sense and seems to be a glaring plot hole.
8) As with most time travel stories, doesn’t this all sort of form a paradoxical loop of impossibility and contradiction?

9) Going way back, what was the deal with all these lists and the kidnapping of various people who crashed on the island? Why did they want Michael’s son? Who exactly are the good guys here? It seems like that is not clear. SO many people just kill other people as part of what they deem to be their master plan.

10) I feel like I have more but cannot think of them right now.
