TV: Lost

4realz :(

and this short season bullshit they'll be doing until the end of LOST is really going to irk me.

I think that the 16-episodes-a-season format will be far better. It gives the writers/producers a concrete timeframe within which to work right up to the conclusion of the story, & should cut out the filler that slightly marred the 2nd & 3rd seasons, resulting in a tighter show overall.

Incidentally, I thought that the finale to season 3 was brilliant. About half-way through the season I was on the brink of giving up on it, but decided against. And then the last 5 episodes or so gave me the impression that a reward for those who had stuck with the show was in the offing. And so it proved. I was speechless.

The one big problem for me is that I'm going travelling for the best part of 2 years soon, & so by the time I get back I'll have either a) completely forgotten what the hell these people are doing on an island or b) completely forgotten what TV is. :|

some thoughts...

Finally got a chance to catch up on all the end of season 3. I am very entertained. :D

Some thoughts on the funeral:

NSFW:
I think it's Locke's funeral. Locke had absolutely no one. Jack would describe him as neither friend nor family, but would certainly have a lot of
respect for him in retrospect if he realized he'd been right all along about leaving the island. In a way I hope I'm not right on this -- Locke is one of my favorite characters, and I'd definitely miss him if he were gone for the last season. But logically, I think it's most likely him in the coffin.

But the real question is, is the flash forward what WILL necessarily happen, or what MIGHT happen? The way this show twists around concepts of causality, fate, and free will, I could see the real ending diverging quite a bit from the finale's scenes with Jack.

I don't think it's Locke's funeral.

First off he doesn't want to leave the island and that's been his stance since the first season if not the first episode. Although the way Ben works as seen in the past couple of episodes (season 4) he (Ben) could find a way to get Locke off the island by force or his trickery.

Second I think at least one other person would show up to the funeral. He seemed to have people that were close to him or at least people that would notice he was on flight 815 his ex-girlfriend maybe? or his Mother...

I dunno I guess it wouldn't surprise me if it was Locke the way this show works you can never really know until you really know... I just think it would be a very sinister character (Ben perhaps) although Locke is starting to become a real jack-ass.

The two things that I wonder about and what I would like to get everyones (if any one here still watches) inputs and thoughts on is:

One) Are these freighter people working for what is the current Dharma initiative? Or has Ben been fronting the whole Dharma initiative since the purge. I guess I always think about the Dharma initiative when Abbadon (the black attorney from 'the begging of the end') asks Hurley if "they're still alive?"

Two) Do you all think there is any time travel involved with the "Oceanic 6" getting back to the real world?

Sorry if this is long I'd rather discuss this with bluelighters than on some Lost forum...

No ones bumped this in ages!

Thursdays episode was quality.
NSFW:
The whole 'time traveling thing was cool as fuck. This episode basically proves they are in some sort of time warp/wormhole type situation. Especially with it taking more than a day on the island when the actual helicopter ride only took 20min. Lost has re-gained my attention. Eagerly awaiting this weeks episode

NSFW:
Did you notice that when the '04 Des finally did get to call Penny, they showed the '96 Des still outside of her Apartment and that he wasn't "out" like before when he jumped from '04 to '96 and vice-versa? Therefore both Desses were back in their normal time. That was an indication that both of them were back in the correct year.

I've been hooked on this show since the first episode. I try to get my friends into it, but when they watch it they get so damn confused and it seems like I have to explain things the WHOLE episode. But the show has so many twists and turns, it is just unpredictable. Does anyone know how many more seasons they plan on having it on?

It's set to end in 2010

It will conclude in its 6th season.

Fs, I know if I'm ever in the same situation as desmond - Lost will be my constant. Its been on for fucking years!

Just got around to catching up on the current season.

Fucking awesome.

Finally some answers,,,...albeit with more questions.

Can't wait till tomorrow night now :D (episode 6 is on tomorrow right?)

The last episode (before March 6th) was the one that has revealed the most of any episode. I daresay it revealed more than the entire 3rd season did. All agree?

What if you're skipping around in time BEFORE 2004..... Then you'll find yourself searching around for J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, right?? You could possibly, in the future, be in the past... Rambling on in crazy talk to J.J. and Damon about Lost just to save your life... You could be the actual creator or influence of Lost!!! ;)

Yes. But our answers come with more questions. These freighter people are our "answer people" I think...

Anyone think Ben has the ability to time travel or anyone of these "original inhabitants of the island? For example the the sale of the Black Rock's journal. Ben making some extra cash? He also has some interesting artifacts in his home (the little of it we've seen)

At this point all I really want answered is that giant statues foot (the one with 4 toes):|

Ok......so that last episode (6).

The Witmoore guy Ben showed Locke on VHS tape..... is that Penny's father?

Oh my god.

You guys have to read this person's theory (mostly dealing with the overall concept of lost time travel), It's freakin' brilliant.

If the show ends up being half as cool as what's portrayed in these ideas, it will be absolutely epic, legendary.

OMG read this, its some guys "theory" on LOST as a whole and its the most unbelievable shit ive ever read. If the show ends up being even half as cool as these ideas here, it will be the best of all time. i just got my mind blown.

5 more eps, but the 5th one is a two hour deal.

The show airs the next 4 weeks at 10 p.m.(through May 15th), then comes back in two weeks on May 29th for the 2 hour season finale at 9 p.m.
