Television True Blood

^ freaking awesome! that had me nerding out hard-core. that scene mirrors so many past scenes of the history of America with racial tension and its heavy use of tension. brilliant. "let these people practice their Constitutional rights to be fucking idiots" lol

I get a little frustrated with this show because I feel like it can be better than the sum of the parts end up equaling at the end of each season

suffice to say, I have very very high expectations for this next season. I hope it delivers 100 percent, and keeps up with the themes of drugs, sex, and violence

Jessica is awesome, and Hoyt is a true Southern gentleman

I thought the last season was a little scattered, but I'm definitely looking forward to a new season.

I'm in a series drought dammit!
No Dexter
No Breaking Bad
No Walking Dead
No Spartacus
No Bored to Death
No Eastbound and Down
No Hung

What's a guy to do?

^I suggest you invest in the first season of
Supernatural_S11.jpg
. You'll be hooked from there. Since there are already five seasons on video so far, it would keep you busy well into the new seasons of the shows you've mentioned.

Looks like the first two seasons on Amazon are $20 each. Totally doable.
What's with the third season $48 though? Sounds like a first taste crack deal gone bad...not that I've ever done crack....I'm just sayin'

You have to look DEEPER down the savings hole. Follow this link and you'll see it for $16.08.

I know it has the stigma of being a CW show, but it really is better than most shows on tv today. The stand-alone episodes are like 45 minute horror movies and the mythology episodes really pull you into the show's storyline.

now that's she's calmed down a bit, i'm totally involved with her. she's one of the most interesting vampires, i feel like she's a kind of vestal virgin type. how many vampire virgins are there?

season 3 got way too...ridiculous for me about halfway through. that was also the first season i watched in which i read the book prior..so maybe i was a little biased from it. but i think they strayed a lot from the book which i personally didn't like, and they changed a lot of shit which just shows that they're not looking to stay true to the direction that the novels head. little upsetting. i don't know if i'm going to watch the next season all the way through. it got way too ridiculous for me, especially the season finale. there's not supposed to be an alternate fairy world...there's supposed to be very few of them on the REAL world...then i remember the end sequence with bill and the queen flying around at each other? so random. it got kind of twilighty for me.

upsetting.
i really loved the first and 2nd seasons too (sans all the maryann bs. which ironically ended up being something that wasn't in the books either.) seems i just don't like the alan ball interjections. like tara..

what? Tara is an original character from the novels. so is Eggs.

As far as I'm concerned the tv show is a totally different thing than the books, seeing as not a single episode follows the books, ever, at all. If it did, most of the best characters from the show would be dead, and we'd be stuck with a whole bunch of shitty ass vampires from the books obsessed with christian girls touching their titties and being like OH I'M SUCH A GOOD GIRL RUB ON MY TITTIES.

i own a couple books but the tv show is way better.

^OH no!!! <3 I forgot! I'm an asshole! And we're derailing this thread but HBBD! :) <3
Hope it was GREAT :)

TB related: I have yet to see the finale........I missed a number of episodes in between......I'm anxious to watch them but my mother may be annoyed b/c I will want to watch them marathon style- the first two seasons I watched them all together- and yeah, it was like 13 hours or some crazy shit.

I was watching this movie the other night and though this one guy was pretty cute, looked up the cast and turns out he is Alexander Skarsgard's brother. They all have good genes.
It just isn't right.
