Television True Blood

Really I wish I hadn't read the books until after the series was over because I do get pissed over Bill. Other than that, I love the changes they've made (like keeping Lafayette and creating Jessica's character).

If Alcide could come around a little more, I'd be happier ;)

It's just bills intentions are horrible and I'm hoping they come crashing down on him at the end of this season.. It's not about the shower scene with Eric it is them changing Eric's character into something else..

Yea I like Jessica and keeping lafayette around... Tara has been on my nerves since last season....

I concur about Alcide ;)

I love True Blood, Eric is probaby my favorite character except when he acted like a fag to kill that other fag vampire, but at least he killed him

I think this season is shaping up very nicely. a lot more coherent and not as silly as last season, which I thought was great with the right-wingers, but banal with the partying Greek lady.

I think that the werewolves have come across as ignorant and pathetic; Eric's character has actually expanded from the piece of wood he was during the first two seasons; Jason and Lafayette are hilarious; the Mississippi King is a delight to watch; and yet Sookie and Bill usually annoy me but I still cling on this show

ohhh eric.....*lustful convulsions* ;)

I look at it 2 ways... Man Rape is not gay if it's for vengeance.. and WTF? lol

I loved that scene and when a vampire dies, they sort of just explode and their blood flies all over. Yes I'm tired of Tara, she seems just hateful lately but I liked when her vampire victim came back after she thought she killed him! Too bad she was rescued by the wooden bullets... I happen to love Sam Merlott (sp?)personally and his little brother/pit bull story got a bit strange. The dysfunctional family part when mama was so sad to let him go yet just stood there cursing out daddy.
I got the book, "Club Dead" the other day not realising there are many others. Would it mess me up to start with this one? I mean would I be missing stuff? suggestions appreciated! thanks, theresa

I started on Club Dead as well bc I couldn't really get into the first two books. Since you've seen the show, you can definitely catch up without reading the first two.

Ok lets talk about the last episode. What's the deal with that hillbilly girl and Hoyt's mama? That girl needs to die. "I baked for him and offered my virginity-plus she's taller than me. Waahhh" Mama says you're cute as pigs, what a compliment! "This isn't over by a longshot" Plus Arlene was secretly relieved when she thought she was losing the baby. Then at the hospital, the doctor assured her that strong little critter is just fine. (like Rosemary's Baby yikes)
Towards the end both Eric and Russell feed on Sookie. Bill's restrained but Pam won't release him to save her, well come on we know she will never die. But the parking lot scene was strange and I started dozing off. They are watching Eric on the moniter and Russell joins him as Eric starts burning? Then he handcuffs himself to Russell so he will burn as well? But if they let Eric die, that's it-I'm done with Trueblood. I love Eric that much...theresa

My husband is into vampires, and a lot of sex so it's right up his alley. I enjoy some of them, some of them are sorta stupid. I had to up our dish to include HBO when the series came back on. All and all it's alright. I've seen much worse ... ever catch any episode of Dukes of Hazard?

Oh and Sam plays a great drunken idiot when he starts screaming at the wait staff and tells the girls to get the fuck out and Terry, the poor guy. "But Sam I'm your friend" No you're an employee. Even nasty to his little brother and now the kid has no place to go. Then Sam trashes all the customers out.
I think Jesus is into voodoo or something. That was funny when he and Lafayette were tripping. Ok Crystal is another one who needs to die. I don't get why Jason looves her so much, "So what if you sometimes turn into a were panther?"
eww, I want to punch her in the face hard.

Ahh-haa! Brings back little kid memories, yes it was bad!

@T. Calderone READ ALL THE BOOKS@@@@@ Ok no more caps =P, the show follows some parts of the books but it also adds in a TON more. Example they kill the gay guy in the first / second season, he's the dead one in Andy's car.

The entire thing with Maryanne was made up last season, this season all the Arlene BS isn't included, neither are Erik's backstory, in the book for this season Bill tells Sookie he's leaving on a mission and he just doesn't come back. Also Russel wasn't giving the werewolves blood they added it in too.

TL;DR Books are similar but hugely different, and the tv show adds in LOTS of backstory etc books don't have. Read every book and keep watching the show also.

How in the world is this season gonna end?
Predictions?

Though I have loved every minute of this season- I feel like its not been full enough.
There have been a few episodes I felt were just there to get you by until the next and then when I look at the season in its entirety, I sorta feel the whole season has been that way- just getting us by until season 4...........

Recently got bitten- pun intended...sorta ;), a lover of mine is really into the series so I lazied about with him and his friends the last two days and fell in love with the series. Got quite the girl crush on Jessica 8o.

gonna try to torrent it now. sucks to hear such dismal reviews already, it seems that they could have concluded this season with quite an epic fashion.

I watched it twice already and don't want to spoil it. But Sookie finally gets to use her fairy powers...and Russell, oh shit I can't say! Plus Bill and Eric's showdown, you will laugh. It's funny when the vampires zoom away really quickly like 100 miles an hour.

ok: spoiler- Tara cuts off her ugly hair extentions cos different is better. lolz

The finale was the definition of lackluster. I can't think of anything that happened that made me think, "Damn! I have to wait 9 more months to see what happened!" The storyline with Jason and the people under the stairs is just dumb. And what the hell is up with Sam? It's as if they have turned him into a completely different character in the past few episodes. He's a gigantic asshole. There wasn't one climatic scene in the entire finale.

NSFW:
Will Bill kill the Queen? Who cares. Let them both kill each other.
Will Sookie forgive Bill? See above answer.
Will Sookie return from the Neverland Ranch? God I hope not.
Will Hoyt paint his and Jessica's new house? Sorry. I zoned out for a minute. Ummmmm, what was I talking about?
Will Hoyt's mom kill Jessica with her cool new gun? No. She's a vampire and one of the more popular characters on the show.
Will Tommy's bullet wound mysteriously give him the ability to read? Fingers crossed.

For some reason the sites I normally watch TB on aren't loading the finale :(
I really want to know all the details but sounds like it was a dud like much of this last season.
So disappointed......I had high hopes.
I will watch when I can b/c I still love the show, even if they gave us a half assed season. ;)
