Over the years we have both had our rough patches and so we always help each other out with no hesitation and not asking for anything in return. medicare being at Stanford is a trip. They have free masseuses in the hall, someone always playing piano, an unbelievable art collection on the walls and a cafe every twenty feet. Makes a person nervous about those bills! But so far we have only paid $27. Yay, medicare. To put this in perspective, my husband was here twenty years ago for a heart surgery and it was 1/2 a million dollars. It took me years of fighting non-stop with insurance to get it down and then years of payments.
