I always thought that Aussies dont spin it, from my understanding OZ's love there bong but I personally never spin it, not worth getting addicted to tobacco. I know whilst living in Europe every single person I knew spun it in a huge J. My honest opinion is that its silly. Load only that shit in a big ass cone piece or my preference into a bowl and vape it. After all everyone likes to be higher without having to smoke/vape more lol
 
^ Spinning in Australia is VERY common. It seems a little less popular in Adelaide but is still quite prevalent there, 99% of smokers I know in VIC, NSW or QLD cut a mix with atleast some tobacco though. There are lots of reasons to cut baccy with your weed but I have typed them out in spin v straight green threads too many times to list them again. I do kind of regret starting on spin, as I did used to actually smoke straight green, for all the benefits there are to adding tobacco I do feel that green is MUCH healthier smoked on its own and atleast slightly less habit forming.
 
I have to put a little bit of rolling tobacco (champion/lightblue drum) just a little - like a quarter tobacco to 3/4 weed otherwise I get the chesty cough that once u start one little cough it turns into a million.

I though don't smoke ciggies and the little bit of rolling tobacco from 3-5 cones daily isn't enough to get me back on the ciggies, thank god. However if I spin ever from a common cig like dunhill/benson, I start craving ciggies again. I'm pretty sure tailor made are way more addictive than rolling baccy. Definitley for me anyway

This is why a vaporizer is good, no smoke and no health problems and the list could go on. But fair enough as there are multiple reasons why people spin it, ones prob because it adds to the calming effect that tobacco provides.
 
Spiritfolk its funny I don't really like rolly tobacco in cones. I do like it for rolling joints, and if the bud is on the dry side then I definately find it better than tailors for a spliff, have just always found it a little too moist to be my cup of tea in the old billy. (or hashpipe/handpipe for that matter)

In regards to a vape, I would be very open to trying one but I unfortunately do not have the money for one (particularly a quality one) and it is just not an option for me. I have a hard time imagining I would be sold on the idea of giving up smoking, in ten years I have never even bothered to take cannabis orally, but that said I feel it would be beneficial to have the healthier route as an option to atleast minimise lung damage.
 
I guess I like the freshness of the wetter rolling baccy. However as one pouch last me like 2 months it gets pretty dry quickly and that first week slight dampness is mainly gone. I just used only tailor's for joints too for years but now find rolling baccy preferable as I can get the burn ratio better and the spliff doesn't go down one side as much.

As for vape's Sustanon I have heard good ones are awesome but need to see one first in action before I consider spending that much and no friends have one. Also the first one I saw like 5 years ago must have been shit (forget the name) as you couldn't feel anything going in just like sucking air and took ages and more weed to get stoned so that put me off them a bit. I have since been told this was a crap model so still open to see a good vape get me ripped.

Too bad I'm not back in The Hague as I could test one as I think it would be harder in a porn shop Sydney CBD.
 
With a vape u can actually taste the buds, its more warm vapors your inhaling. Usually only need a tiny amount a lot less than smoking because its very efficient, it hits u right behind the eye so hard u can bearly move anything below your neck haha. The latest models are pretty good quality and does job very nicely, doesnt smell either and most of all reduces health issues greatly. Most of my smoker mates have no clue as to what a vaporizer is yet alone used one but it sure is a lot safer. They arnt expensive on that particular bidding site.
 
Where as I would smoke an oz of A grade in roughly 7-8 days.. also consume edibles, bake cookies and vape/ bong/ pipe/ spliff it up on the reg... I never mix with tobacco as why consume something with such a large amount of known health problems attached to it, mixed with something with so FEW health problems attached to it... Its a contradiction and I would not be able to sit their all 'high and mighty' - pun intended - and say how there are next to no ill effects from responsible cannabis use... what waaaaa

I've found that recently this has actually stopped for me, where as I used to suffer from the annoying "black lip" as we used to call it almost every brew.

As far as I can tell it has to do with the amount of pressure used to pull your cone through. I used to suffer from it all the time when I was sucking my cones back, but now I use a bit less pressure and don't really come accross the issues at all.

I think one of the previous posters was right regarding oil levels as well, there is a very good chance this can contribute to the bong lip curse.

An oz of high grade would last me 1.5 - 2 months! and that is smoking daily haha!, in 7-8 days would have coughing up some mad phlem. For years now I have been smoking just 2-4 cones after work and like gram-2 gram on weekends. Days of smoking that much and bong lip as well are a thing much of the past. Plus my lady doesn't smoke which keeps things down.

The problem with a vape for me is that because of my tolerance from smoking like Tripppar a year later I had rarely smoked and bought a vape. My tolerance sky rocketed to about where it was a year ago within about 2 weeks. I think the vape is more or just as psychologically addictive as smoking bongs and even worse it sits on the coffee table right in front of me. After about 3 weeks I was going through around 1-2g of awesome hydro a day and having something like 6 bags in a row just to get stoned in the morning.

When I was smoking bongs heavily that year ago I got to a point where my tolerance was so high weed did very little to me but with the vape I could push through my tolerance and actually get stoned but it did take a long time.
The vape did leave me feeling a lot healthier and it was good to cut out mixing for a while but the psychological addictiveness just left me looking into the weed void again, some where I'd rather not be.

The greatest part about the vape for me is taking a bag to bed :)

stoners dont spin their weed here cuz weed is hella cheap here.
infact most of your weeds would come from some part of south australia :D
 
This is off topic, but I'm curious to see what you guys think.
The other week I was smoking weed, and it was taking very long time to rip each cone, like... extremely long, even for a small one. It wasn't blocked but it seemed like alot of hash had built up at the bottom of the cone piece. I tried smoking that, and surely enough I was able to smoke a pretty massive cone through it out of just the tiny bit at the bottom. But amazingly it was still there, I was able to smoke this a further three times before it actually ripped through. I've smoked hash before and it's never acted this way before, nor does enough hash normally build up there to be able to smoke it and be worth while.

I can't for the life of me work out what happened, but I did get really fucking high. I pretty much had decided my bong was magical haha, and to my devastation a week later it got broken, I was really hoping I'd get a chance for it to build up again so I could show friends or put up a picture here or a video of the stupidly high amount I could smoke out of it.

Any explanations team?
 
sound like it is just a very very very big build resdidue of resin. How often do u clean your billy and cone piece? - (not being rude and saying u got a dirty bong or anything) Just that sounds like the black in the cone bulit up heaps so u didn't have to scrape it like i used when I was 14 and hanging for a billy.

Also not dick sizing here but I hardly call the black hash, as from living in netherlands I was lucky enough to sample many diff types of hashish from dutch polm to nepalese, manili and that shit is so refined and creamy smooth with many a different high for the connosiuer.

I go back once a year for a few days (annual pilgrimage) but all I smoke there is 90% hash as it is soo rare here but quality buds here are bountyful.

The black in the bong can get you stoned but the taste and the experience of smoking it to me usually so terrible its not even worth the bother. Correct me if I'm wrong but maybe u have been smoking heaps of awesmoe skunk and the black that accumulated was at a higher grade than usual and was getting u nice and high without wrecking ur throat lungs???

i definitely disagree that "pretty much all australians" mix their weed with tobacco.
for me it's like putting dog piss in your coffee, but each to their own. most of my friends don't spin their pot, except in joints perhaps.
but i haven't had a bong with tobacco in it since high school.
 
Yeh sust - Its far from an Aussie wide thing dude. Just cause your crew or you have witnessed others doing it doesn't mean its commonplace... If you saw a couple dudes wanking in the street would you then say "Most Australians like to wank in the street ay... I have seen it!"

I know about 90% of the people I know smoke green there are of course people that only mix with joints and there are people that only smoke WHEN they have tobacco. EAch to their own... Although I find most connoisseur smokers or more conscious of their weed strain/ location it grew etc etc don't mix...In fact mixing with good bud is quite a no no in these circles.
 
Funny how it's different for people. Nearly all the ppl i know that smoke weed mix it. In Adelaide was the only place that ive been where it was not done much.
