Whether it makes logical sense or not, it is the case in all practicality. Check out the AV forums (Audio visual forums) if you dont believe me (and if you're really all that interested). With a cheap cable, you get faint blurry outlines and very annoying shadowing effects. With a decent cable everything is crystal clear and sharply defined. I currently have a pretty shit bottom of the range TV, but i used to have a top of the range 32" Sony before it died on me after about 6 years. The difference in quality just upgrading the cables made really surprised me. I was initially fucking gutted, thinking 'ive got this top of the range tv, but the picture still looks pretty shit to me' but once I'd upgraded the cables the difference was as clear as night and day.
