The 'What Have You Bought Recently?' Thread - Because Summer Is a Show Off

I just "bought" one, too. After the insurance write-off it only came to $400. I was stunned! Usually they are over $1K here as well.
 
The upside is I was expecting to have to pay for surgery too if I wanted it any time in the next 18 months but the surgeon said that if I paid for the diagnostics myself he would take me as an NHS patient before the end of the year.

It should be. I had a bottle of his 'basic' 2012 Riesling a few months ago and it was superb, this one is a little bit further up the price ladder so it should be delicious.
 
Today I have been searching for hibiscus flowers in syrup and hurrah have found em. Got a little do coming up soon and I reckon these look a bit sexy or poncey in a champers flute topped up with chhhh-prosecco but either way bring it on. Found purchased and awaiting arrival...I really hope they taste ok or it's Bellini time!

Inflo - the dried flowers are really popular here and so cheap. In the small coffee shops there sold in either a hot or cold drink - (Karkade) - I love the stuff and probably have a bag of it buried in my cubboards
 
Not sure may well have have been the type of fing us cultured types have discussed many a time ;)

Always get belinis and Blinis mixed up too..think I may have both..lovely lil mini pancake fingymebob with cream cheese and I believe smoked haddock on top..vs, Champers with Peach puree in it innit.

In other shopping news decided fucked last week twas getting a bit nippy and needed new lacey,patterned, coloured and black new tights...hmmm well 14 pairs have arrived so far..eeek. Don't drink and dial-Don't cane and credit card. 8(

oooh bear sounds lovely...have purchased ones that originate in Oz in syrup jar that taste of rhubarb and raspberry? Had best reviews overall...sadly they cost £40 ish for a jar of 50..

Oooh, your tights selection sounds good. I've been on a leggings spree and am currently wearing my Adventure Time ones. Have yet to wear my particularly garish ones adorned with unicorn/rainbows. =D
 
A Rew scarf in exactly the shade of grey I was looking for, worth >£100. Bought for £3.99 at Barnardo's. Unworn. All linen.

To be fair, the fastening thing with the button on was foul. Only you can easily reverse the bloody things, and be left with a soft brown leather finish. Beautiful. I may tie myself up in it later.

Pitch - Have you seen them ? I was at some rave when the appeared - was years ago so they didnt have that many track out.

Never bought the flowers (haven't seen them tbh) but the loose leaves are sold in the local shops. Will check the next time im in the shops and price them (think there about 2 £ a kilo ?).

When out in the local coffee shops I stick to that, the local (Arabic) coffee has me jittery especially after a bowl of Shisha :D
 
If you don't like clean shoes you're a bum. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is, got to have decent shoes.
