The 'What Have You Bought Recently?' Thread - Because Summer Is a Show Off

The Superdry stuff is bang on.

Got a couple of hoodies and their t-shirts and dressier shirts are really well designed.
Nice and fitted, none of this ill-fitting baggy nonsense.

Get yourself a nice hoodie and give your nostrils a rest :sus:

Yeah Superdry is nice. We got a couple of the jackets kicking about and a few t-shirts. Really like them, wouldn't mind a hoodie. Gets to the point sometimes where I can't actually wear my jacket in winter cos it gets too warm with it on.

Can't think of owt we've bought recently. Tend to go on a spending spree on pay day after the following month has been budgeted for but think this month was just booze, takeaways, and a couple games. And a herd of inflatable animals cos my girlfriend is weird. And a lifesize Spiderman decal to go behind the sofa, due to the same reason.

Got some more posters off eBay earlier. For some reason I thought two A4 ones would be enough to fill my empty bit of wall but not even close so I had to get a few more A3 ones. Now I have spent £20 on fucking posters in the last couple of days, so much for saving money. I shudder to think how much I've actually spent on posters in total, there's loads I used to have that seem to have disappeared as well.

Ah nevermind. I'm strangely obsessive about certain things and I very much enjoyed my OCD evening putting up the rest of my collection so I shall await the new one's arrival with bated breath. That's the pinnacle of excitement in my life at the moment, rock 'n roll eh.

When I was your age I used to put all the centrefolds from FMH and Loaded (which were hugely popular magazines in the 90s) and covered my bedroom walls at my mums house with them. When the walls ran out of room I started on the ceiling. Then my mum insisted on painting the room and they all had to go.

I'd give everything to go back to those days when I was 20 or 21 and my mum was still here......funny how you never really appreciate tthings or people until they're gone.

Legitimate US Military manufactured black coat from the Cold War - an antique really, I couldn't say no.
A (again USMC source) Double Breasted, PEA formal jacket in black.
4 formal shirts + ties.
Formal shoes.
A Zippo lighter.
A crack pipe.
Several months worth of psychotropic chemoorganics.

Oooh, and beer.

US Military clothing? WTF kinda statement are you trying to make with that?

Or maybe they 'just fit really well'?

Agreed - US military gear (at least the formal and combat varieties) is among the least elegant and / or stylish. In terms of ethics (if we must bring the question of ethics into fashion) Nazi gear actually trumps it. But then again Nazi gear always will.

I suppose if you have the frame of a peasant farmer on steroids and cheeseburgers however, only the US Army apparel will suffice.

Brake Pads. And a rear tire for bike no2.

Kids clothes for my boys 3rd. Funny how kids clothes cost more than mums or mine.

Wiring loom, cdi and regulator for bike no5.

And a packet of OCB slims.

Fiio E11 headphone amp. To replace my well loved cmoybb. Don't think the Fiio sounds a whole lot better, I was just fed up with the rate the cmoy was eating 9v batteries.

I'm driving a pair of Audio Technica M35s with it. I guess between the headphones and the amp I've spent about the same as a pair of Beats by Dr Dre. My setup looks pretty ugly by comparison but I'll wager it sounds a whole lot better!

I bought a 5 metre long HDMI extension cable for my Blackberry Playbook tablet, so I can watch stuff on iPlayer from the sofa. I know it doesn't sound very sexy, but it's nice to be able to pause Michael Portillo's Railway Journeys from the comfort of the sofa, as opposed to grumpily unruffling myself from my old man blanket and tetchily doddering towards the vicinity of the TV every time my wife shouts at me from three rooms away to enquire of something. Such luxuries can be found on eBay for the trifling sum of £2.99.

Glad I'm not the only person who watches Michael Portillo's Railway Journeys. New series (of the continental kind) starts on the 5th!

Reckon I'll just crack out the pink jacket and aquamarine shirt combo today, that's how Portillo rolls.
