🗣️ General Discussion 🗣️ The Weather Thread

I forgot about those. I fell into one on a nature trip as a kid and had bumps all over me for a day
99% of the time dock leaves grow right next to, or very close to nettles, and they soothe nettle stings amazingly well. Nature couldnt possibly have organised that combination of plants any better. Presumably they must like the same conditions to grow in, considering how often you find them side by side.

Dock leaves are also meant to be great for wiping your arse with too, according to the TV survivalist types. I've never had the need to try it out but I can imagine they'd be great. Soothing and moisturising on top of being cleansing.

Bit like playing Russian roulette though, especially if it's dark and you're wasted :!

Talk about ring sting...

That's not really a fun thing to joke or speculate about because it does kill people, mostly the elderly and people with dementia who can't react to overheating or ask for help.

Would love to keep this thread jovial so if we can draw the line at joking about death tolls I would appreciate it.

The reason hot weather causes so much trouble here is because it only happens for a few weeks a year and not every year so the infrastructure to deal with it just isn't there.

Okay sorry for the reality check back to banter.
