Television The Walking Dead

But, I think it was jarring when she referred to some item she looted from the bar as "cute". Is this a glimpse into who she was before the apocalypse hardened her? It seemed so forced, and I had a hard time putting it into any context. But maybe the actress is limited, or maybe the director was stifling her tone.

Personally, I thought it was a nice touch and just her way of breaking the ice.

It was a pleasant surprise discovering her dry sense of humour. Due to her total lack of dialogue throughout the season, it was certainly nice to see another side of her personality. I hope they continue to build on her character.

^ Yeah... I felt like I missed an episode? Was that one 3 posts above with the gifs the episode before this one with the governor and Rick meeting?

Compared to last weeks, this felt a little weak to me. Everything seemed really forced and I felt as though nothing actually happened. Yeah, we finally got the face to face between Rick and Gov, but it was very odd and to me unrealistic. My big question, although I have several, is whah did Gov have to gain from this whole meeting thing? He put him self in serious danger all presumably to barter for Michonne...thing is, we all know hes lying and is planning to kill everyone including michonne first chance he gets. He knows ricks group is weak and small in number already, what is he waiting for? Hes not doing it for andreas benefit, pretty clear he thinks shes a cunt by now anyway so thats not it...
The sex scene with glenn and maggie was alright but sex scenes on basic cable are always so boring and ultimately pointless. Plus its odd and kind of disturbing thinking about Glenn being naked. It never gets easier.
One more thing... I know rick is a good guy and only kills when he feels its necessary to protect him and his... He killed his best friend for that reason. His own life and the lives of his two children are at stake... What kind of person would not take a free shot at pretty much the sole person responsible for all his misery when given the chance? Its not like he actually thinks he will ever be able to trust Gov.

Yes, it was. It was episode 12, 'Clear'. Episode 13 (with Rick and the governor) was called 'Arrow on the Doorpost'.

It looks as though (from the preview of the next episode) Andrea and Milton may join forces in an attempt the stop the governor (?). I think that's where they were going with the last episode, as in the forming of new friendships i.e Hershel and Milton, and Daryl and Martinez. It'll make it easier when the prison group attack Woodbury.

I think he believes, like most of us do, that it is pointless for humans to keep killing humans in petty territory disputes that no one benefits from anyway. Maybe he still believes there is way to come together and at least coexist. If their world is to achieve normalcy, they have to stop acting barbaric at some point.

second half of season 3 is far better than the first. i just don't like the governor, he's such a lame character.

what i disliked about the first half were the people in his town thingy. they're all just mindless idiots and carbon copy cliches. just like the guvna. i'm glad to see less of them.

I'm pretty sure Andrea basically tricked and/or coerced them into this meeting, they otherwise would not have done it.

Does anyone else find it funny how zombies appear out of nowhere in front of people in this show?

What about the burned up zombies at the bottom of the pit? That made up for the rest of the show to me. =)

Not to mention she is making this fucking face 90% of the time...

i imagine that were gunna get two more actionless episodes till this season ends. I was told the comic books are way different from the show. Like rick shoots his wife (or maybe shane? ) and thats how carl gets shot. And a bunch of other stuff.

And if anybody knows like where the tv series is in relation to the comic book #, HBO man i got them all up to 107

Why are there so many zombies on the show's Earth? Zombies don't just bite someone and move on: they devour them. Wouldn't the initial wave of zombies have either A) been killed by survivors or B) eaten all the potential new zombies?

Also, why are there so many hikers on the roads when the roads are presumably full of abandoned cars with keys in the ignition?

The only zombies that made some semblance of sense were the ones in 28 Days Later.
They RAN after their prey and devoured them, they consumed the living in a fairly quick time frame, and then they eventually starved. There was other nice touches like Brendan Gleeson getting a drop of infected blood dripped in his eye and turning.
There's been a number of times in Walking Dead episodes where characters kill close up, get covered in gore, but apparently, somehow, don't get any of it in their eyes or mouths or wounds. I've always assumed "walker" blood transmits as well as a bite.

It drives me crazy that all these walkers are just hanging out, hungry as fuck, but they're OK/alive until a survivor happens by. Maybe their ability to remain in that state is explained in the comics?
As far as all the hikers, yeah, makes no sense. Granted a lot of those cars were driven till they ran out of gas, but there's obviously no shortage of fuel.
Some of the shit that makes no sense seems necessary to the plot that's being laid out. But, a lot of it is needless.

I love the show but, the last 2 episodes have been pretty awful. I hope this calm before the storm is worth it. I feel like I've been waiting for something to actually happen ever since the boiler room.
