Speaking to me belovered insomnia online has me laughing and grinning so much I can't sleep. Supposed to be asleep as I'm due to wake up in 5-6 hours for a day catchup with *gasp* another bluelighter. Good old Soma :D We're off for a picnic, day hangout at some parkland he is going to and invited us. *feels the love*
Anyway, besides the BL love keeping me awake tonight (no illegal drugs, just insomnias words of wisdom + enjoyment! It's a great drug, laughter + love :D ), JRPGs have been keeping me up til 4-5 am each night now seeing as Emma is back at work and I am back to 'home alone' at weekdays. Current game is an 'oldie' as I have recently just got back into xbox 360s due to my injury healing enough that long time gaming isn't KILLING me to do. Infinite Undiscovery is the guilty party. FANTASTIC game, LOVING it. Last remnant is the next title I will play or I may break the JRPG games to finish Mirrors Edge (probably 1-3 hours into it at present?)
And have a few 'fillers' as well, games I don't care too much for, well don't have expectation so I may end up loving them. Need for speed undercover and GTA IV. I have never really liked any GTA games after the initial 'gimmick factor' of up to an hour. Mainly driving the car and changing radio stations was the most fun I had from GTA's. They just never "got me". Also have Star Wars: Force unleashed to get through. I've got it on xbox 360 + Wii. I do like how the games are not straight ports of each other and actually vary a lil. It's a must play just because it's Star Wars and is something to tick off my never ending list of "must do's".
Mmmmm, also it looks like my time is up for paid holiday some time soon. Going in for medical evaluations in a week or two. 4 damn examinations/evaluations within 2 days. Hopefully my Cartmanism fear doesn't take hold and any anal probes are introduced! If I am still gimp enough for the government/TAC to keep paying me around $800/wk tax free, I'll kindly accept it. If not, I'm going to have to look for work I guess in my diminished state in a working context. Fuck knows how someone in pain, 24/7 up and down pain, limited movement in my "natural arm" as it's my right arm and I'm right handed. Well, I was. I'm a mean aim with left arm now, able to hit 9cm squared bins from 10 metres away yada yada. And a mean chopstick user. Japan taught me well for left arm use
I also have a backlog of about 40-50 xbox + wii titles I either own or have had friends lend to me because of said state of "being able to put in long game hours" without being struck down in agony. I seriously should be a paid game reviewer. I have the cynic streak in me (natural and forced from the pain + associated pain meds) that it seems is the pre req for most gave reviews. Hell, I also have 27 years of actual gaming experience as well! Most weeks had at least some gaming done daily! *ahh, the late 80s + early 90s*, 10+ hours of gaming + drug sessions with friends. Go the super famicom.. Exciteabike was and still is a CLASSIC :D
Ok, the more I ramble on here, the less sleep I'll have to prep me for _todays_ catchup with Soma! I'm used to living on less than 4-5 hrs of sleep a day of late but mentally, knowing it's going to be a big day, both physically and mentally (LOADS of sly sexual innuendo filled comments takes it out of oneself, if done correctly.. IN EXTREME
)
If anyone has xbox live crap and wants to add me on friends list, send a PM. We can sort out usernames there and stuff. I let my gold membership run out when my old xbox did the RROD and I didn't bother getting a new one/old one fixed up until recent. It's great to actually have the stamina to game for hours on end.. It sounds lazy but fuck me dead, gaming and having paid shoot up your arm/shoulder takes a lot of stamina. A heavy constitition is needed.. See, 2 words that were introduced to me via gaming. MUD'ing in 90 (MIGHT have been late '89 I actually jumped into my first MUD but the exact date is cloudy now.. 20 years does that.. And 3 years of pain induced opiate use! ) It is fun gaming whilst oxycontin is kicking in I must admit. It makes me "appreciate" the film trainspotting in a whole new level. I was never, EVER tempted by the dragon, opiate use at all.. In all my 21 years of chem use. But with forced use, I now see why people love opiates... Glad I have my loving wife to keep me from not wanting to create my own cave and not see society.. for years. It would be an easy thing to do, I did it for like a year after my injury I guess, well off and on for months. Remember kids, pain can hurt
Mmmmm, my first big bl post for ages me thinks... I'm not a 5 second wonder anymore girls!!! Come over, you won't be disappointed!!!
