UFOs & Aliens The UFO & Aliens Megathread

post it up đź‘˝

Ok, this bflix website is actually legit (I've been using it daily for years), just make sure you use an adblocker

this focuses on the nimitz encounter and a few other military encounters... although I do criticize it for really annoying shitty TV style editing. You know like 1/3rd of every episode is just b reel and random intros and cuts for commercials. But good.

this is produced by J.J. Abrams, I would consider this to be probably the best made and most entertaining docuseries, however some have criticized it for using a few misleading clips. I get that, but I feel they're added just for dramatic effect and they work well.

Anyways, very well made.

also overall just very good and well put together

those probably the best 3 out of all of the 25+ or so documentaries I've seen on UFOs

There's a lot of documentaries that are just full of unverifiable claims and anecdotal reports. Those are fun to watch but I don't take them as actual facts... but maybe. Fun to imagine.

i dunno how i feel about the sightings, i know people can see some crazy shit but as far as interpreting what it is?? i'm just not sure i totally accept the claims, knowing very little about em myself.

i do think if they exist and haven't made contact, maybe the idea of us being a backwoods yokel planet makes sense; if aliens are out there looking... i guess we're like a super secluded tribe hiding in the thick jungles, maybe they haven't caught a glimpse of our bonfire.

but there are just wayyyyyyy too many stars out there for us to be the only life, imo. i mean, didn't it only take like a billion years for the first life to appear here?

The majority of the "UFO argument" is just convincing people that the phenomenon exists. It's not a hoax. UFO's truly exist, right? The US government admits they exist.

The REAL question, right, is WHAT are they?

Some people actually believe that they are aliens. But that's highly unlikely. I think it's a stereotype to think people who believe in UFOs think it's alien life, a lot of us don't. Not that it's not possible, but that it's just very very very unlikely.

I 100% believe in UFOs. I've seen one. I know for a fact they exist.

Are they aliens? I think... probably not. I think that's the most unlikely scenario here.

Which, to me, ends up making it even MORE interesting.

I love the UFO subject, to be honest. However, I also truly believe that 97% of the so called "evidence" out there is complete bullshit hoaxes or camera glitches on known objects.

The truth is out there....

Date of sighting: Dec 10, 2021
Location of sighting: Paterson, New Jersey, USA
Source: MUFON

In this five minute video we see dozens of glowing circular objects moving across the sky. The objects are following each other in a line. Sometimes in the video I see a pair of the objects moving apart, then suddenly moving back together so it seem they are trying stay together. You can hear the eyewitnesses dismay and confusion in their voices as they watch the craft flying over them. At one point in the video one glowing object comes over them, he zoomed in on it, showing a whiteish sphere object, then it moves away. This moment excited the eyewitness who can be heard saying, "See! See I told you so!" meaning he said they were alien craft and this show of intelligence of the craft made that statement accurate.

@Mr. Krinkle you watch any of those shows I linked?

you should

You should watch the J.J. Abrams one, the one called "UFO"

It's probably the best UFO documentary of all time because it also incorporates the most popular skeptic theories. It shows both sides.

Really good!

it's almost 2 hours long...but i do need to watch it....is it on youtube so i can watch it on the tube?

i found it - ok im gonna watch it tonight :alien:✊

rewatching this one now... yeah, this is a good one and is up to date

watching it now imagining myself as never watching it, I would question all these people... However, I already know, everyone you see in this documentary is extremely credible... man I know this subject so much I can tell you who military position all these guys have in this documentary lol

Most of these people in the documentary are military, astronauts or high level military/government

this shit is very, very real...

thing is, even if faster than light travel is possible that still does not make intergalactic travel very plausible (in the frame of OUR technology). Light still takes hundreds or thousands of years to travel between galaxies.

this is why I doubt UFOs are traditional "aliens from another galaxy", if they were, it's likely they can travel FASTER than the speed of light, or... come from a different dimension

I think, instead of traditional aliens, it may be just as likely that UFOs are somehow extradimensional entities, or HUMANS from the future, or some force of nature we are unaware of. The possibilities are endless. Yet, no matter how enthusiastic I am about UFOs, there is so much crap fake evidence and anecdotal evidence out there. I do not believe people who report alien abductions were actually abducted by aliens. There is so much crap crap crap out there.

I had my own UFO encounter about 8 years ago. I know they exist, for a fact... but the real question boils down to... what are they?

Many UFO nuts just want to perpetuate the alien conspiracy... I want to know the truth, alien or not. It could potentially be clandestine technology

Well I assume if faster than light travel is possible, it would be some sort of spacetime folding or something where you can jump instantaneously from one place to another. Of course there is still, then, the problem of choosing where to go, since whatever you can see is some number of years in the past (however many light years away it is). And the sheer amount of possible places to try is staggering beyond imagination. I suppose an alien species able to do so would have scanned with methods like ours, sensitive light or other wave detecting instruments able to determine what stars the potentially habitable/interesting planets are. Those stars would have to be close enough to be able to see with whatever the highest resolution they had is, so yeah, almost surely within the same galaxy, and probably relatively close in the same galaxy since it would be harder and harder to see that level of detail as it gets farther and farther away.

But who knows? We can't imagine what we can't imagine.

You know just the other day scientists built and successfully tested the first REAL warp drive. Collapsing space in front, expanding it behind you.

That technology isn't speculative anymore, it's real.

Of course, the warp drive they built is miniscule, it was able to warp a few atoms. Long way from a large scale one, but fascinating none the less, to prove the theory possible.

didn't they make a particle go back in time already - like something really tiny jumped back a millisecond? pretty sure i remember reading that happened

I believe. If reincarnation exists not that it can be disproved like how can you technically disprove God or how can you technically prove the textbook theory of evolution I would like to be reborn in a galaxy far, far away?
