Update:

Ordered the gnome. With shipping and all he was around $35.00. Hopefully it wont take forever to get to my house.

I figure everyone can have him for a week take pics, write in the journal etc then send him on his merry way...

So everyone say hello to our little Gnomelighter

Can anyone think of a good name for our little Friend?
 
Actually did that this summer. A buddy was getting married in Toronto and we were driving from Thunder Bay. The drive is about 1600kms or so. Anyway, the night before the drive we grabbed a gnome from someones front yard, leaving a note behind. The note was written from the gnomes point of view and basicaly stated he was going off on a road trip for his friends wedding.

So on the drive down we stopped at every roadside attraction and landmark and took pics of the gnome with them (the Sudbury nickle, the birthplace of Winnie the Pooh in White River, etc). In Toronto we took pics at the wedding with the wedding party and having "fun" at the reception. Also got pics of him having dinner in the CN Tower, at the Hockey Hall of Fame with the Stanley Cup, in front of the Sky Dome, etc, etc.

When we got back, we developed the pics, put them in a scarp book with descriptions of each pic, and returned the gnome to the house we got it from, with the scrap book for the owners of the house.

Have no problem with that Just make sure he is decorated in taste. I am bringing him to work with me to take a few pics of him doing various things. I will have him first of course so I am not worried about what he is going to look like. Just keep this in mind if anyone else would like to bring him to thier job to take pics as well :)
 
We have David the gnome winning so far...

I dunno I like Hipsters The Gnomelighter hehehe

So far I have about 14 addresses which is perfect to get the program started. If anyone else would like in it's not too late :)

P.S. For the Bl'ers in the states who do NOT want to spend the money to ship overseas... You could send it back to me then I would send it overseas... I am also going to try to make sure the gnomelighter travels to the closest BL'ers homes first also cutting back in expenses and travel time :)
