My baby! I was a bit shocked that I put so much money into a pack, but \i'm glad I did, it so easy to take around, and the day pack is such a bonus!

I bought a big Eurocamp one for my travels in 1997, from Blacks. It got used for over 2 years on that trip and i still use it occasionally today. I'ver never had a problem with it, so it was well worth the investment. I think it was around £130.
 
I paid around AUD$350 for mine.. I think that works as about £130 at the time I brought it and I know I'm going to have it for a very long time... I would never buy a pack now that doesn't come with a day pack now, cause it so much easier to carry on the back rather then getting one that doesn't fit with the bag and you basically have to carry separately.
 
I'm not even going to Europe.

Why haven't you told us about your trip to NY yet? I want to hear stories and see pics. :)
 
deeCee I don't think it will really it has a 3yr guarentee, so I have some hope. :)

And if I'm travelling light it shouldn't hurt my back.

Travelling light is having less then 10kg's on your back.. Now try walking 2km's... It's still tough... You won't possibly have the back support either.. My bet is you cant adjust your pack depending on what your hieght is.. Is your 3yr guarantee worldwide?? Cause a fucked up back pack in the first week of your trip isn't going to help you at the end of your trip, unless you can trade it in, in whatever country your in... Oh, should I say, mine is life time guarantee
 
I've no idea what the weight will be, will weigh it tomorrow once it's packed up.
 
i'm sure Argos's in Kazakhstan will give you a replacement, no questions asked.

you'll be sick of the fucking sight of it after a month, guaranteed! (as will your mate, of you.)
