The Travel Thread - Second Destination

select single trip for say one month starting now, click next, on the next page select the second option from the left (essential package), click next, price of about £30 will be shown with the option to extend it to a 12 month deal for £18.00 slightly below.

Visa granted, flights booked, sorted! :D

Flying out September 3rd, from Edinburgh via Singapore to Brisbane, 28hrs in total.
 
did i mention i was at the libyan embassy today? ;)

i was told to go down to the basement to hand in my passport and all the other shit. there were about 60 people already there and all the seats were taken. so i just sat on the floor (about 40 people in) and waited for the place to open. after an hour, a guy came round and handed out raffle tickets to give us a place in the queue.

after another hour, my number was eventually up, and some twat barged in front of me, saying 'sorry mate but i've been here longer than you'. i just laughed and said 'whatever, you're probably right', but when he got to the counter the Libyan Jobsworth guy fucked him off saying that it wasn't his turn. I held up my raffle ticket behind the twat's back without him seeing and the Jobsworth shouted me to the desk in front of him. LOL. schadenfreude snoo. :D:p

there were also a couple of pinstriped wankers trying to jump the queue, shouting loudly at the guy behind the glass that they had a meeting with Mr Gaddafi and were due to fly there today. they also got fucked off, mr jobsworth wasn't impressed with that either, haha.

i was amazed at just how many pinstriped wankers there are in London, all of them with their fucking crackberries attached to their hands like they're hand grenades with the pin pulled out. wanks. %)

Jude if you actually read the small trip the insurance is good for one year, you can go on as many trips in the year as you like however each trip can only last a maximum of 45 days which makes it no good in my situation.

The trip to the embassy seems epic in it's self, I can only imagine what actually getting into the country must be like. :\

You are just back from Nigeria and you're sorting out visas for the next trip already, no rest for the wicked eh?
 
Fuck ever trying to go to Libya for that amount of hassle. I aint risking getting my suit soiled by being in the vicinity of oil worker monkeys like Felix. ;)

i know, it fucking sucks. especially since i reminded the boss about all this shit before we went to nigeria, and wouldn't it make sense to get things in motion then? and fuck all happened.

i'm away a week tomorrow again already, my time off just vanishes quick as fuck. :X

funnily enough i was thinking of the Kid when i typed some of that above. i bet he wears pinstriped jim-jams and sends his wife emails on his crackberry when he wants his boiled egg and soldiers in the morning. :D
 
look on the bright side, you earn plenty of dosh and never spend any of it!
you can wind down the hours in future and go on a big spending/cocaine binge!

Spade you should definitely go to Melbourne and 'round Victoria a bit, it's wicked there although the weather definitely is strange as hell. I was standing on hanging rock, it was sunny, suddenly these massive clouds rolled in and the heavens opened, was soaked in like 2 minutes and there was no other fucker about. Pretty creepy and amazing though... =D I was gona stay with this loaded dude on straddie island but never got 'round to it... Brisbane was a bit rubbish btw.. kinda wana-be. Going out to Fraser island was a good laugh though, worth doing that when the weather's good and you want a lazy lil' sidetrip... 4*4s and beaches mix rather well!

I kinda wish I could zoom back to Aus but I might have to wait a few years. Will definitely go back to Tasmania, Hobart is a wicked little city and lots of people don't bother going there, but I had good fun exploring.

Anyone seen that video of that American guy who held onto a train for fucking ages in the outback? Owned.... %)

Hahahah. But...

1. TheKid doesn't wear PJ's.
2. TheKid doesn't own pin-stripe suits for the odd occasion he has to wear one.
3. TheKid doesn't eat eggs. So his missus gets emails asking for croissants and freshly squeezed oj.

Seriously Spade, if it's going to cost you extra cash I wouldn't bother with Brisbane. (Although did see whales offshore when we were on Straddie).

Plus, loads of sharks around there too. Some bird got attacked by 2 at the same time a few years ago...and she wasn't the furtherest person out to sea either. Imagine seeing that happen, and you've got the sharks between you and the beach.......8o
