See if you can grab yourself a cheap netbook somewhere and take that, maybe? It's not like you're going to be titting about with Ableton on the road and you can get them on ebay for under £100. No idea if they're actually any use at that price/spec though.

No point in spending much more than £100 on a netbook, all they are designed for is going online and basic computer tasks like word processing. No point in it being £500.

I'm reasonably good at traveling light. Although I've never tried to do it for any significant length of time. I've went on holiday before & had my mates wonder where my suitcase is, or think I've left it in the taxi lol.

I need to make a point of telling everycunt that I'm going to do this now, so that it's harder to back out! There really is no excuse as long as this cash comes through.

Just because you're going away for 6 months as opposed to a week or two doesn't really mean you need to take more stuff. You can still just take a weeks worth of clothes and wash when needed and everything else can be gotten out there if needed. Don't be taking 6 months worth of toiletries with you. You might need to cut down on the amount of trainers you take with you, they take up room.

When I first thought about going away travelling by myself (to Aus) I made a point of telling everyone I knew I was going so that when it came to it I couldn't pussy it. It took me about 8 months to save up the money and by that time I'd been telling everyone on a regular basis I was heading out there, had no choice in the end even though I was shitting it.

What type of party? A full moon party? Didn't go and wouldn't go, I made sure to go to the islands a few days after that had finished to avoid it.

The best party I went to on me travels was in a jungle full of banyan trees. You know the kind that you can swing on.

Doc Martins on the beach? Must have been a bit hot for the feet wearing those, was that some sort of statement or trying to be cool / different / unique? At the beach I wear flip flops, everywhere else I wear my converse or whatever casual footwear I'm sporting at the time.

Best party I went to was in the Atacama desert (driest place in the world) in Chile. Absolute middle of nowhere, got taken there by a stranger in a pick up truck and genuinely thought he was taking us into the desert to kill us. Loads of mad locals and strange music.

Funny enough I went to a wierd party in a desert in India. There were horned cows skulls dotted about and everything. Maybe it was the cow blowing up place in the daytime. But on the way back we got attacked by bandits...8(

Wearing Doc Martens everywhere is pretty stupid.

I'd wear the same clothes to a party, or to a 'rave', as I'm wearing right now while lying about the house. I'd maybe put a better t-shirt on.

This is a travel thread. Seeing as the furthest you travel is to the off license you should probably exit the thread now.

Its nice to sit under a palm tree and people watch or read a book.

I prefer to do that in a city, sit in a cafe / bar and people watch. Beach is OK for a few days if there's stuff to do at the beach and it has bars and stuff, but secluded beaches with nothing but sand and water I find boring.
