Yo, if you are taking the 10mg nitrazepam ones then that is something that is necessary to talk to a doctor about in order to stop. You could just cold turkey the codeine and be generally fine, it's a low dose. I sure hope those are not 10mg nitrazepam pills but I sense that they are. How many a 24 hour period again 1 or 3? That could be really serious if you just got cut off them and were taking them for over two weeks? I mean, like, if that is the case go to a doctor as soon as humanly possible and get on a taper You can't just cold turkey nitrazepam if you have been taking it daily for any length of time. This can result in seizures and a lot of people die from the withdrawal like with alcohol, in my opinion there is a benzo crisis right now, not really an opiate crisis anymore. Everyone knows those are bad for you. This benzo shit, prob shouldn't have trusted doctors so much but I did back then and a panicked man can't think straight my first was in the ER thinking I was dying I had been that way a year it was time to get on them just not for this long fuck.
I take 6mg clonazepam daily, which is very similar to nitrazepam. They are pretty much interchangeable. That 6mg is equilvanet to something like 200mg nitrazepam, they can be crazy addictive. They are not worth any amount of sleep how long you been taking them daily? It doesn't take long. I was in danger of seizures within a month, waking up practically having them in the morning whole body tremors anyway.
As for myself, I am exhausted a lot of the time. Probably, because my life is picking up. I spent a month bedridden. Seriously. When I got up, I was catching my breath walking up stair sets when I was walking out of the most intense hot yoga classes before. I need to get back into it, I really should go today. My anxiety is at its worst. It has never been worse and I think it is from the stress of benzo withdrawal but also due to lack of sleep. I feel that lack of sleep has made me more depressed than usual too.
I managed to cook some honey-glazed crepes for breakfast. I'm in a daze today, but I somehow came up with some good creative ideas when I was stoned earlier.
Grapefruit oil is the essential oil I know of with the most anti-depressant action (I'm using it soon, because I feel depressed and stupid right now I haven't smoked pot yet). If I am stoned, almost every time it leads to those laugh attacks I never get anymore cause I'm not a high school kid. It is a silly and cheerful oil - I'm just waiting from the Jasmine oil yesterday to run out. Grapefruit also has circulation stimulating properties (this property will help heal my cartilage piercings faster, as there is very little blood flow to that region and it takes forever for them to heal) and is good for complexion. There is more to it than that, I'm waking up all tired atm. That one I think is great for hormone balance and the aroma put me right into a nap.
These are helping me so much I'm getting as crazy about them as anything ever check them out! Bergamot for anxiety is great too. Sage is the herb of wisdom, it's what people who don't like pot should try. The effects are similar. Patchouli is lovely, rose is very powerful and healing. I use different ones for my nose, hair, feet, etc. and they are absorbed topically as well. However, if you inhale them 90% of the volatile compounds are roughly absorbed by the olfactory nerve, meaning it is extremely efficient and quick to get these medicines in the body. I never knew you could inhale natural anti-inflammatories, I can't stand pill ones. Some are stimulants, some balancing, some depressants so it's basically like healthy drugs to me, and a ton of science to self study and share with others.
I am really excited about this. It is bringing joy to my life and in my opinion that means I should make some sort of career out of it. There is so much unstudied science on this stuff, more needs to be done and also make it palatable to the public and not just tech people. It is also helping me tremendously, so much that if they disappeared from my room right now I'd go into as much of a panic as if I didn't have any weed.
They are so awesome! Like, who even here knows you can inhale anti-inflammatories that are chemicals naturally produced by the plant kingdom and then extracted with steam distillation for the most part otherwise an easy solvent extraction? Roman chamomile contains two of them, I forget the names of the molecules, but they have been shown to have anti-inflammatory action. It is a traditional treatment for that as well, and I am connecting the dots so to speak. As, if you start using these it is plain obvious how medicinal they are and a lot of medicines begin from synthesizing natural chemicals in plants like that (ex., Oxycodone can be synthesized by pharmaceutical companies from a chemical occurring in Papaver Soniferum (opium poppy) that has no pain relieving properties at all and is a slight chemical tweak of it.
My own personal experiences so far:
lemongrass oil: appetite stimulant, even for potheads who can't eat; antifungal/cleaning agent (can be used on feet, or to freshen a room), balancing in mood, best for masking the smell of cigarettes if that is a thing.
bergamot oil: one of the most interesting aromas ever, a cross between I think a grapefruit or orange and a lemon from the 1600's. Uplifting antidepressant while remaining relaxing. Think it's good for smokers too.
grapefruit oil: Uplifting, giggly, purifying, circulation boosting. I think for nausea as well.
sage oil: grounding, thought provoking, topical pain reliever and anti-inflammatory (can be used in a hot bath or for a soak, it has heating or cooling effect on skin depending on how much is used, and is very cleaning of bacteria... the foot soaks are really nice and feel amazing actually), stimulant, best for masking smell of smoked tree. people who don't smoke weed especially transcendental indica like hindu kush would benefit from the cerebral effects of this. A pothead necessity.
-lavender: sort of like the valium of essential oils. Floral, I like it. A lot of people use it for sleep, but people in the know often don't. I close my eyes in bed, and feel like I am laying in a meadow of wonderful flowers. It's chill.
-Patchouli: in a lot of women's perfumes, very relaxing and good for sleep. Hippies used to wear this one notoriously in the 60's, but it doesn't really mask the smell of pot. It's just another awesome flower. Perhaps an aphrodisiac. Amazing to soak your hair/scalp with too, it is like wearing an aroma cloak.
-Cinnamon: very refreshing, stimulating, personally I've never been one to like the aroma of cinnamon too much so it's not my fave
-geranium: extremely floral and silly, usually needs to be combined with something. Overpowering.
-rose oil: from another dimension. A romantic compass. Takes 10,000 petals to make an ounce, very expensive.
-jasmine: ambrosial floral aroma, exotic and amazing. aphrodisiac
-black pepper: crazy spicy, used to help relieve smokers of cravings and improve lung health and I can see why. Would like to get more, expensive though. Very relaxing as well.
Those are a few of the ones I have tried. I have found some sort of use for all of them. Highly recommend looking into, but there are lots of hustlers to be weary of. I bought a few books first and now all these studies to go through to understand how they work so well for me. So there are research papers and scientific studies and stuff that I am looking into, to see what scientists and engineers have done so far with this. Apparently they have identified a lot of anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatories, some novel anti-depressants and anxiolytics. I've yet to find anything for pain that works though. We could all use more anti-oxidants I am sure.
This will interest cannabis enthusiasts too. A big part of medical pot is the terpene content, which is mainly responsible for the different aromatics. I've seen all the same terpenes in one oil or another, so it's like, if you know MMJ, you can make your own terpene profiles and essentially reduce the need to choose just the right strain if you know what terpenes you like (ex. d-limonene for depression, linalool for anxiety or insomnia). The same terpenes that are in hash oil are in way higher concentrations in these oils, and they are far more efficiently absorbed by direct inhalation through the nostrils. I can control my high this way. If I smoke too much of a hybrid and have a panic attack (I fucking hate hybrids tbh) then I will get lavender going, feels more like purp after a bit. You can also dab them like infused shatter or in particular for wax they are awesome to experiment with if you are cool with vaporizing random medicinal plant oils extracts.
