Yeah a guy has to climb up top to change it lol. It is 636ft tall and 636 feet wide, figure the statue of liberty is 150ft with the pedestal. You can see it in most of the city, gift shop/museum is at the base, the top is an observation deck.

There is actually some speculation that it was originally built as a sort of weather experiment, supposedly it's designed in such a way as to influence the movement of weather systems around the STL area.
 
That is one for someone to look up. When was it built? Leading up to the 1930's, there was a real belief among the learned, that altering land would alter weather, so if you plowed your fallow fields, it would somehow bring rain. Like a meteorological white man's burden thing.

Anyway, then the dust bowl kind of soured people on that model, since it was only that dusty cause they kept plowing dirt in the first place. But then the soviets picked up on aspects, and just waited for a few million to starve and suddenly there was enough food for the survivors.

I wonder if they built the semi-oval so it would make ocean waves literally push boats up the river toward it.
 
Was built in February 1963, it's a national park btw, federal property. Look up the arch effect scrof, it's pretty interesting, squall lines literally split in two to go around the arch, the. Don't meet again until they're out of the metro area.

Conspiracy theories are good fun, alas most events are a conglomeration of random individual actions culminating in an event that isnt ever correctly explained, hence most conspiational theorists make up their own plausible sequence of events that are implausible but entertaining.


I gotta go back to my home planet and absorb my nutrients via reverse osmosis .
