?? ? THE SOCIAL CLUB v. Come Say Hi! ? ??

Books & Cats sounds like a bluegrass group. Or a 1970's cop drama about two lady detectives.

FWIW, I liked keeping things like journal articles on paper (back when I was a real boy with a real life) but only as a supplement to electronic. Really, they have to be electronic, for copy/paste and Endnote. And eventually you'll need the figures for a powerpoint.

Maybe that's another reason to prefer the paper for books, etc. Cause you know you won't have to manually search for block text to cite. Read and forget at your leisure.

I always dug the tiny print and toilet paper thin pages of the 4" thick Physicians Desk Reference. With like 60 bookmarked dog eared pages and tape to hold the spine together.

I think your absolutely right. I often need journal articles for purposes besides reading, and it can be almost impossible to keep hundreds or even thousands of them organized as hard copies.

Novels are less important and keeping them well organized isn't as necessary

I've got a huge collection of military history books and weapons manuals for pretty much every type of modern firearm.

I swear I've got so many books that when I moved house I had to do one separate run in the van I'd hired just for books... I've got my spare room turned into a library with book cases and book shelves all along the walls as well as plastic storage boxes overflowing with military books...

I've got some meaty "Jane's" books from aircraft to Light armored vehicles, the development of the M-2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle was comedy,( I think they even made a movie about it), they tried to do so many things with it that it wasn't capable of doing any one thing well.. It's always the large furniture and large plastic bins with books that throw my back out when moving. My poor bookshelf has a smile arc in it now on every shelf but the very bottom. It's hard to part with em though.

Everyone in my house has been feeling sick lately so my wife picked up some cough syrup.

I inspected the cough syrup she bought and got a huge giggle over the fact that she bought 'the good stuff' - dxm being the only active ingredient.

Wife asked me what was so funny. Had to lie, she is drug innocent and would likely equate drinking a whole bottle of cough syrup to sniffing glue. I would NEVER be able to convince her otherwise.

Took the recommended therapeutic dosage of the DXM containing cough syrup and had the strongest rush of nostalgia ever from the taste. Been many years (15?) since I've robotripped but that taste brought it all back in an instant.

You actually forget just how heavy books are....until you have to physically move hundreds of them...

Actually, I was watching a YouTube video about how people workout in US prisons that don't allow weights and getting a load of thick books feom the prison library and stuffing them into a pillow case made quite and effective dumbbell/kettlebell type contraption.

The ingenuity of people in prison with limited materials and A LOT of time on their hands csnt be underestimated.

Some fairly effective firearms have been manufactured in prisons...mainly thinks like slam-fire shotguns and crude muzzle loadijng pistols...actually that part isn't terribly difficult, itsvprocuring ammunition that's the hard part...or making it, using all sorts as propellant..watched an interesting YouTube video on it...

Oh...and I forgot to ask you...when you said you take your sidearm with you when you go for early morning walks, what is it? We had Sig P226s and later Glock17s in the army... I preferred the Sig myself

How to setup and close down a dispensary:

  • Buy WG's pharmacy and put up new signage.
  • Stock with Herbal Goodness
  • Advertise a Pancake Breakfast on April 20th, 4/20
  • Serve cannabis infused syrup at pancake breakfast and have people laying down in parking lot.
  • Get shut down by the city for dispensing cannabis infused syrup outdoors and getting people baked on site.
  • Turn signs inside out and move. :?

Brethren, is there anybody out there?

I bought a paper version of Inherent Vice. Should be good.

Might be the copy I'll be reading. Reading through infinite jest first, then that one. Younger brother loved the book, and it is one of our favourite films (Inherent Vice).

I have to quit smoking weed and dabbing now while in oxy's withdrawal. Not really the right time for that, I am irritable without cannabis and can't eat or sleep for several weeks.

Paperbacks for sure. I like antique stuff.

OMG got a pm specialist who is down to work with me and figure out stability and treatment before detox and not after, which I've already done only to relapse due to pain. I only have 15 mg ER mor 2x on top of my 10 mg done, but I'm super happy I can start moving forward

Congratulations....

Really pleased for you bro:)

That is great taco dude. I have been... I have been... I don't know. I haven't called me pm, all out of scripts I just don't care. The last like, 8 scripts were total relapses from the first pill. I was still putting myself through it. I still may for years to come. I got caught nodding slouched over for 8 hours by people who seem to care if I make it to my birthday this year, but don't really. Don't really know how it took them 5 years to figure it out, and still there is denial. I don't remember anything except someone asking me what the fuck drugs I was high as fuck on. One of these times I am not going to wake up if I keep doing this. I am at like a week today, but also due to unforeseen events I am no longer able to smoke cannabis. I had to abruptly stop when it is not the right time for that. I'm already very unstable since I detoxed in the autumn, then since Christmas I detoxed for 2 weeks and then had a quick binge, now I'm sick again. Feels like I wasted a month of my life and I want to make up for it so bad, but all I can do is allow the exorcism to happen before I get my brain back. I really can't do much this time like go for walks or get out to the mall, I'm way too depressed and without my weed I am a panic freak. Fuck.

I really miss weed already.

What the fuck... I had stability before. I'm fighting to keep a roof over my head now. The whole first part of the year is going to go to those highs in December so I better learn from this as really, it is a pointless existence with a glimmer of hope. I just don't care anymore I don't care enough to kill myself I am surrendering to this and maybe I will be myself again in a couple weeks. Long time to suffer and I just got my dabs back, now I won't be smoking weed again for a while.

I mean my dose is either 2.5 mg done equivalent 2x, which is a joke, but it's a start. They are trying to put me on effexor ER 37.5, but I'm just like scared of the suicidal ideation warning, sleep issues, SS risk, and whatnot. Especially with it being ER. I know it's a low dose, but that concerns me more as I fear the sneaky subtle effect I notice too late. The methadone even is really affecting my ability to manage my emotion.... Like not just barely containing my excitement, but just becoming childish with excitement and immature with frustration. It's pretty fucking irritating.... Again I'd be less concerned if I didn't have a history of attempting suicide, which is always takes things really breaking down, but I just don't want to risk getting to that point if I don't have to.

The other one was zanaflex, which is a a2 agonist, which I can only compare to clonadine. My concern is I'll get tunnel vision standing up and feal like fainting after walking up stairs. Don't know the dose of this one maybe 4 mg.

What do you all think on the meds above and the concerns I have? I'm not too experienced with these classes of medications, but my little experience was not great

Also sounds rough shroomy... I don't nod. Like I've gotten droopy eyed and by myself before bed I might get nody, but I keep my dose in check. Have you tried subs?

Those symptoms are from low BP but IIRC that's a noted side effect of zaniflex...it is as u say an a2 agonist (clonidine is also an a2 agonist, imidazoline receptor agonist and a vasodilator often used to treat hypertension among otger things).

Zaniflex is linked to liver problems on occasion though...

Both will make you very tired

Tired isn't necessarily a problem it's when I wake up will it affect me in a manner that triggers my mental health issues pretty much making me agoraphobic and unable to interact with others unless I know then well due to not feeling like myself. Basically I guess I'm trying to avoid depersonalization especially as the nmda antagonism from the methadone leaves me impulsive with my emotional state. My head's tricky.. I do need to sleep though tonight as now I've gone 2 nights without sleep although I was only expecting to be able to yesterday.

I'm not going to rush into those meds, but I'm not trying to rule them out if they could be useful.
