What if you OD'd because it was spiked with something else (that you didn't know about or understand)?

It'd be like, it's my fault for eating at McDonald's, that's why I deserved to die after eating E. coli-tainted hamburgers.

It's up to the user to test their product. I don't believe in an FDA. You're playing devil's advocate to the wrong person.

I suppose YOU advocate for the devil now?

If there's lots of pesticides in your Mexican produce and the FDA (not it's job to test) and you don't test it, why come you not dead? Is it the Chilean produce that counteracts it, or the hepatitis that really gets you with bad cilantro from Imperial Valley?

O/T: I used to work for a pharma company doing FDA submissions. Believe me, be glad it's there.

Comparing food-borne illness to people cutting heroin with fent analogues could not be more different. It's like comparing apples and heroin. It is literally comparing apples and heroin.

To be fair, he was talking about substances added intentionally on produce, not food-borne illnesses.. But I agree it's still a stretch to compare the two. But I totally agree that it's up the user to test an illegal substance he puts in his body

A half-thank you @user.

MORALLY, there is no difference between deliberately poisoning food and heroin.

C'mon, druggies, you opiate abusers, get over your guilt at using. Heroin was once legal and in pharmacies. Were the two things still apples and heroin then too?

I never said a user shouldn't "test" his dope [OH, cap'n heroin was being metaphorical?] in fact I think that's twice now I've said he should.

Whether he does or doesn't, he still does not deserve to get poisoned, and the one who did the poisoning is just as much a murderer as all the other apple-murderers out there.

The above is 100% earnest bleeding-heart juices, no devil lawyering in there.
Also 100% logic.

Fent is an opioid
I questioned one of the nurses about it
She claimed not to know much and spewed rhetoric from her mouth

"It's straight death" she said
I thought to myself and IV heroin and opana isn't?
Lol
It's posted on the wall the new drug test policy
Could snap a pic of it

I don't agree with it
You can use as much opiods as you want
You just never get take homes
Eventually you want a better way of life

Kicking fent users out of the program is totally twisted

At least they can gets subs from a private doctor
Who's not constantly coming up with dumb crap to look like their improving

They had me on EKG the other day I got in a convo with the nurse about them reducing subs from 24 mg she said
Now we don't give over 16mg

"Because of studies"

I told her believe none of what you hear and half of what you see

What do you mean she said

I told her when was the last time they did a narcotics study on patient's and said

You know
We are not giving them enough drugs
When need to increase the amount of drugs we give them
Now

I said if every single study for the last 20 years says give them less in every situation

How can you even believe them anymore?

She had no answer and genuinely thought about it

@scrofula Wtf dude? I just said comparing the two was a stretch. Learn to read before bitching at people ffs. And for the reccord, I have no guilt whatsoever with my drug use and practically never use opioids. And I wasn't even replying to you in the first place. Also, not the best place to call people druggies btw..

They started a new policy of not increasing methadone doses and treating it the same as cocaine kicking addicts out of the program who use fentanyl

I'm an ex oxycodone and oxymorphone user and that is the stupidest and saddest thing I've ever seen a recovery program do

Moved to social as it's an off-topic discussion for OD

No, user, I gave YOU half a thanks. And ala your other post, what followed the thanks was similarly not meant for you. I gave exaggerated (as is my way for some reason) grief to Mobius and the Cap'n, who've been sort of arguing the poison dope thing for . . . more than 24hrs, for what that's worth. The cap'n put arugula in my coffee, please understand.
Anyway, I am sorry, please too remember I'm usually either bleeding-heart earnest or I'm talking jokes to my self/ trying sarcasm or just ironic. I got mad at a anti-Planned Parenthood person once and used the F-word at her video.

As for calling ourselves "druggies", well, I guess they didn't, I did, but plenty of junkies and addicts here. We're in the OD forum (not my name (it is a homolog for my surname) but rather "other drugs," mainly the "harder ones" it seems like). I've always thought it was a short-hand for "drug-user" or just "drug enthusiast".

If it helps, my last drug of mis-use was a brief dance with daily methamphetamine. Here in California bought and consumed, where that activity is very felonious. I'm not concerned with that kind of incrimination, but I can avoid it if you are.

Yeah, @user, I am sorry for bothering you.

Feel free to poke around in my post history, you'll see plenty of me shitting all over myself over my past use and abuse, quite a few abusing myself for self-abuse, while using. Also wasn't berating them for using, but for not feeling like they didn't deserve to get poisoned.

Because I am also a druggie. Who abuses his peers with such beratements as "C'mon!" But then some nations are known for their propriety, I guess.

Fuckin A, I'm saying sorry today like a fuckin Canadian or something.

Yeah, @user, I am sorry for bothering you...

It wasn't the term druggie itself honestly, but everything that went with it. I just find it odd for a fellow drug user to use another's drug issues as a negative in an argument. Anyway, as a proper Canadian, I apologize for overreacting lol. No hard feelings.

And sorry everyone for going OT

@scrofula

Don't be like that. :p

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. We're all entitled to our opinions.

Wait, be like what? What was it this time?

I know this whole thing hasn't been me, I never even got annoyed. Usually I get all second-guessing or embarrassed.

But @user, I'll say just one last, I promise, no teasing about being Canadian: you can't discuss issues about something with your own? I'm just lost here, who else would you discuss it with?

You can disagree without being mad (actually you didn't like the arugula so it hurt my feelings). ~feels emotions~

It's all unicorns and rainbow colored hearts in here bro <3

I apologize if my radical views offended you <3

So how do you like to do meth? :)
