Mental Health The Rant Thread Vs. Really? How Does That Make You Feel?

I totally understand. The price of cigs is a joke, but the government wants people to stop smoking and it looks as though they'll do anything to slow down the smoking...either through taxes or through blanket property/council bans. Here in Australia. Thankfully I don't smoke but I empathise with anyone who does because it's so damned hard to quit and hey, they just took away vaping as an alternative unless someone wants to go to a pharmacy and expose their history of smoking to the pharmacy to get nic vapes.

It sucks. C'est la vie.

Somebody called security and said I was parallel parking. Which I hadn't, course. I know who it was because the motherfucker was peeping out of his window, just to watch security "reprimand" me. (Which they didn't)

I know which car is his, so he should tread fucking lightly. It would be a shame if my brakes happened to fail when he's walking through the parking lot.

Most people create an endless feedback loop of hate. The only crop they can plant that survives is negativity. Mirrors aren't for breaking into pieces, they are for breaking down your deeply held preconceived notions. My capacity for honesty will always render me vulnerable to the sheer callousness of a world that knows exactly how to hurt me and when, ive got too many buttons to press, and all of them seek my end, as well as yours.

Addiction is death on an installment plan. Except no one gets to plan for this. It’s insidious and malicious. It never introduces itself because it already thinks it owns the place. And then there’s people that think it’s all because of a bad choice we made. You gotta have options before there can be a choice to make. I was never gave any choice in the matter. It was like someone had been mixing heroin in my mashed tators the whole time I was growing up….but no one ever told me.

Also what makes me sick is all of the hypocrisy involved with how addiction is perceived. We’ll never get anywhere if we continue trying to punish people that really just need our help. It’s not even the drugs that make addiction so toxic. It’s all the stigma that makes it lethal. People’s willful ignorance is more of a threat to an addicts life then the drugs are.
And the reason I think everything has became so punitive is because tax payers really hate us because of what our disease has costed them. People wanna see us keep facing consequences. I’m not saying everyone feels this way. But just enough to make all the difference. This is what happens when you take someone’s rights away and their responsibilities gets taxed on other people. You can’t mess with people’s money because people really don’t care. They have that right. And I think a lot of the reason for the whole choice/disease debate is just the results of those people trying to justify their reasons for feeling this way. But I’m always possibly wrong. It’s just what I think about it.

Fuck everything being so expensive especially food. I could put on so much more muscle if i could afford to eat better. I remember back when ground beef was considered poor people food but now its expensive as fuck.

If it wasn't for my family helping me out with my food i would be fucking starving. I miss the 90's when not only could we afford to eat but you would have money left for beer afterwards
