Woah nostalgic moment. My mums mates used to own that wee street, and the pine furniture business adjacent (behind where the pic was taken). A lot of the buildings were used for art/craft stores, 2nd last one on the right iirc, was a potters shop, owner was one of my old dears closer mates.

There's (or was when i last visited the spot about 15 years ago) an old abandoned cinema really close to there too which had something to do with the street.

Sweet photo though man, cheers for bringing those memories back! I'll ask teh mater for more info if anyone still cares.

How did your mates mum go about owning a whole street?

I have no idea mate, to be honest i think it was more of a shared lease between the all the wee shops, last time i was there i was about six years old and had a wee cowboy revolver capgun, so was fairly busy running about like a wee tit.

this is what i've been looking at this week. it's fucking great to be back involved with big engineering again, hoo hah! and look at that sky, the weather in germany was beautiful this week.

as mentioned previously, here is the smallest airport i've ever seen - Groningen in the Netherlands. two check in desks. and they sell beer in the shop. brilliant! :D

I went out with my camera twice this week, didn't think I'd taken too many pictures, turns out it was 144. I need to learn to stop and think before I take a photo and spend more time getting things right before snapping away and ending up with too many of the same thing. I just struggle to translate everything I've learnt about photography into an actual photoraph. Hopefully this upcoming photography course will help me a more.
