The Photography Thread

A couple of pics from my first attempt with the Holga. They came out 'wrong', but there's something about them which I like. :)

I wish I'd taken my cam out with me today when I went for a haircut, the barbers is right beside the beach. There's swans, geese and even dolphins down there usually.

Man, today was a good day. Starting some creative work in a community Theatre group so we had our first meeting to discuss that, and then after went for drinks, then I went and checked out a group preparing for the Samhuin festival in the Meadows, and we had a sing and dance, and played with fire. Tomorrow im starting Capoeira classes too. Wicked days ahead.

Managed to catch the beauty also..

Home sweet home. That is bliss. <3

Lovely photo. I shall (hopefully) be laying my eyes on it for the first time in 4 months later in the week. :)

I can't wait to get out with the camera.

Check out this place in Edinburgh which I didn't know existed until I saw a photo today, a Wild West Street.

ah urbain, looks like you had the same weather as us the day, it was fucking gorgeously hot and sunny. :)

where is that, spade?

Yeah, where is that? I wanna put on a hat and boots and raise darn tootin' hell in that there town!

somewhere in aberdeenshire. ;)

i would post some photos here, but unfortunately i only had my phone with me. but at least i discovered why it was taking such shitty blueish photos. i had it on the wrong setting, i.e. fluorescent light instead of daylight. 8)

Nice weather here today as well. :)

It's in Morningside apparently. I'll go find it sometime soon and post some pics.

I was using the macro on my cam today again to take a photo of a wasp and it was poor quality! Not impressed with the macro on the cyber-shot for things like this. The wasp was all but dead so it's not like it was moving about making it hard to take the photo but just could not get a detailed sharp photo. :(

Let me know where it is so I can pass off the discovery as my own and make my girl think im simply amazing.

Cheers. :)

I think I'll go out and take some photos of some stuff right now. Well shortly anyway.

Spade, when you use the macro setting are you remembering to press the shutter button down halfway first to focus it properly? I've often encountered problems with focussing macro shots because I'd either forgotten to let it adjust or because I couldn't hold the camera still enough. Remember, when it's focussing on something tiny, the smallest of movements will make the pic very blurry :).

Just a thought, cos I do it all the time :D.
