The Photography Thread

its pretty nice, lots to see, really cheap, the only annoying thing about it is the stag do's/hen parties etc. Makes you feel ashamed to come from the UK. I presume the same will happen to Krakow.

Nice pics! Not only is Edinburgh a beautiful city, the surrounding area is also very beautiful. People have it good there in that respect.

I like what it says on the gravestone in the pic. 'An example of everything that is good'. :)

Spadey, haven't been to prague before, last trip was krakow, vilnius, riga and tallinn

whoremoaning, I didn't get the black guys coming up to me, but my mate did, and bargained down from 200 krowns to 75.. said it was good too

Vienna always seemed quite nice. Have never been but it seems to have much more retention of culture that Innsbruck or Salzburg.

I lasted about 3 hours in Vienna after the taxi driver took us to the completly wrong part of the city, showing us all the lovely buildings and architecture along the way, as well as telling us all the history of the city. Then she dropped us off in the middle of nowhere, and we couldnt find our hostel (because it was on the other side of the city), food was overly (but in reality not so) expensive compared to Krakow / Prague, so we decided we were miserable and managed to find our way to the train station and went to Budapest.

I'd like to visit again when its not so fucking cold, and I'm not so fucking lost. I also know someone there who can hook me up with weed, so that would be nice.

I really wanted to go to Innsbruck, but I only had like 11 days on my trip :(

It's nice in that it's in a valley, sort of. Surrounded by beautiful mountains. As for the city itself, I was in the hills surrounding it for most of my stay. Only ventured in twice, was too busy skiing.

Can't say much culture struck me, but there was a street camera disguised as a big giant.

You didn't really miss out as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there's thousands of places in valleys in Austria. One thing I found funny was that there were 3 Spars for every mile of road in Austria.

EDIT: Jeez, was just looking at some things about Innsbruck on the internet - I did not go to the right parts of Innsbruck!

Did you spend your whole Europe trip miserable and cold? :D

Being lost is half the fun. ;)

Giving up on a place after only 3hrs is hilarious.

I wouldnt say miserable the entire time, can't have good without the bad. Some of the memories are the greatest time I ever had in my life, and also the worst :)

And yes it was hilarious, me and my travelling buddy just thought fuck this lets go to budapest.

Tell us about some of the happiest then, all we've heard is the cold and miserable stories. :D

My trip round Europe was also some of the best moments in my life. A real highlight. :)

I'm signed up for an evening and weekend photography course starting in December at local college but debating whether to bother with it now. Haven't really used my camera much recently, maybe twice in the past month. Thinking it might be a waste of time and £.
