Hey dixi I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune my lil southern bell,hope you feel better! I know when my back is severely inflamed my biggest fear is falling or slipping on ice.
Remember your aren't alone,I think about you every morning before I open my laptop and wondering what funny tid bits or some inspiration you have waiting for us on these posts. You are the glue of this thread and I greatly appreciate you!

Sure. Give it a shot.

Usually street MJ is geared toward getting the user high, and aquiring return customers. So, THC is the focus. But so what? Start slow, a few puffs, put 'er out, give it an hour, and repeat.
If the herb is real cheap in your area, then you can make your own edibles from it. I highly recomend marijuana ghee over any other form of butter or baking extraction. Let me know if you need some instructions for that.
Edible MJ is much longer in action, can be more intense, or not, but does provide the best pain relief coverage, w/out the peaks and valleys of smoking every 20min-2hrs. Really helps for sleep, when smoking is a pain...

Also. S.Africa is the origin of the famed Durban herb. Durban is very unique in its CBD profile. It has many novel CB~ compounds not found in many/any other strains, and I hear is still common over there: a strain that is still the backbone of breading stock for many growers, even if it is not found as an uncrossed strain. Heavy in CBDA and others responsible for excellent pain relief, and even healing through heavy duty anti-inflammatory properties

ScuicidalNod is correct about edible MJ it gives more of a narcotic type effect then smoking it used to make my own brownies(I used the canna butter) and they were great.
It's a shame because medical mj is legal in my state (just opened first dispensary) but doctors that prescribe it won't prescribe narcotic pain killers. So if you already go to a pain management clinic you are on a pain contract and if they find mj in your system you are done. I would still try the mj but it's expensive because insurance doesn't cover it because it's still federally illegal.

I was suggesting heavy epson salt baths.
Then got in to the world of healing clay for you. I buy mine from local ceramics supply, as it's used for glazing. Just ask for 300 mesh Bentonite. Then Hydrate it yourself. Apply as clay packs on bruises, contusions, or compresses on large sore wounded areas. Or use in the bath, nice and thick.
There are plenty of healing/edible clay sites selling online; those site can run anywhere from $12-$30 a lb. I get it for $2.50-$3.50 a lb.

Oh! It may also help w/ you bowel and colon issues. It definitely helps get rid of the nasties left over from all the pharmies we, as CP patients, use daily, and give you more energy, better sleep, and a less angry tummy.

Just ask if you have any questions about use, preparation, or anything else w/ the clay, esp. bentonite. Hoping you heal up soon!
(fuck the E.R. their activeness to patients is horrid, they do not listen, and the wait times in the room full of folks with herpagonorsylphlaidstuberculi-flu is icky ick yucky).

It's me again...I've read some things about making your own by "steeping" weed in coconut oil via crockpot until the oil is infused. I'm thinking maybe the coconut oil will even "lube" my GI tract, easing stress of OIC. Opiates aren't doing it for me. Call me an enigma...just call me...I need information. The "street" weed would be cheaper than I pay out of pocket for meds. As SN pointed out though, HTF do I know what I'm getting?

8( Process of elimination would tell me I'm not buying Basil, Oregano, or Rosemary. I swear this stuff I got for my virgin smoke tasted like Rosemary on fire. It was supposedly Indica and had a helluva kick. SN...My husband had to show me how to smoke the stuff. By the time I "got it"...He was more shit-faced than I. He hadn't smoked since college. I'd never smoked even a cigarette. My judgment and inhibitions went out the window, so I was incapable of "pacing" myself.

namnoc...No doubt I'd LOVE the brownies, as I'm known for my "turtle caramel" brownies (no weed). I think I'd prefer the candy or dew drops, but fml, I'll never know at this rate. Yea, I've heard that the dispensaries are terribly expensive. Hell, big pharma's newer "boutique" pain meds that could help my pain (sans GI issues) are out of my budget...thousands per month.

FWIW...I've never, ever had to pee for proof. My fucking medical records justify throwing meds like beads for tits at Mardi Gras. My gut just CANNOT tolerate them.


Yep, I signed a contract with my PM doctor. I'm seriously considering "tactfully" and legally terminating the contract, yet not burn bridges. My GP can prescribe the Neurontin, and more than likely Norco, which I prefer over Oxycodone. She prescribes my AA and AD meds, with the anxiety med being schedule II. I will confirm this before I cut ties with PM.

I see this pain management bullshit only getting worse and worse for us CPPs. I'd rather HUG the tree, than hang from it...So I want to try all weed possibilities for pain relief, before wasting a good stretch of rope.
 
Hey so if anyone read my previous post... it was a success. I achieved what I set out to achieve.

Regarding the person who posted a pic of his medication, and people got angry about it. I don't understand that. When I got my extended release oxy for the first time in my life today with the promise of upping the dose in the future I was beyond ecstatic. I felt like I had won a war I had been fighting for years. I couldn't stop grinning for hours and it wasn't the drugs. That was just a pain patient who was really happy they got free meds let alone the meds they need to begin with and posted a pic because of how excited they were. What's wrong with that? If you think that's giving pain patients a bad name... lol.

What's making it hard on us is that people will go through the system who do not suffer from chronic pain, faking it, in order to get pills to push. Those are the type of people that are pieces of garbage. Or drug addicts who go through the system because they need a hit, and who don't have chronic pain. This was a guy with a legit pain issue who posted a pic of his meds. Just saying.

I thought this was like... the only place on BL where people didn't argue and supported each other.

^Haha, that's what my stash used to look like, but with the brown 30's mixed in & often with some 15 or 30mg ms contins along with 240 endones.

Hard to believe, & I would never have,- that bupe 32+ is so much better for my pain.

Though I still crave the oxy high that I was no longer getting :(

Whosa and RTP are either of your countries trying to push the bullshit oxy ops(tamper resistant) off yet? From what I'm told the ones we have here in the U.S. not only are tamper proof but they don't do shit for pain. People have complained that they pass through their bodys and come out in complete pill form like they never digested. I take the IR oxys for pain so it isn't an issue but I'm sure they will find a way to fuck them up too!

Imagine the disappointment when the pharmacist has a word about too many patients dying so theses have been reformulated!!

My abuse of oxy actually grew following that, no longer could you crush half a pill... It took at more to even feel a thing!

Oxy, Oxy, Oxy, Screw you! So I woke up at 0407 am with not only the normal stiffness and level 7-8 pain in my damn back, but also the horrible edgy feeling of opiate withdrawal. I'm coming up on 3 weeks of using oxyneo 10mg twice a day. The first few days of this wonderful medicine brought back amazing full nights of sleep that i hadn't had in a very long time. After the first week, I started to notice I was waking up just a bit earlier every day, and now all I want to do is take more. Not going to let this bitch get a hold of me.

I read all these horrible stories of addiction on this site (and have been there myself with the booze), and I can already hear the little man in my head rationalizing the situation. "C'mon, you have chronic back pain, you deserve some relief... Just take one extra, you have lots of codiene if your oxy runs out... You have lots to do today, you NEED to feel better..."

Nope, done with it. Going to go back to researching some MMJ recipes. should be here later today.

na we don't have ops, but i would actually like em. i hate them being so easy to abuse. i end up chewing em more often than not.

Its not unusual for the op versions to hit the shitter whole, the oxy' is supposed to 'dissolve out' of it...
but ive heard report that 20 - 50% of it can stay intact the pill after it leaves the colon
 
If I had oxycontin, I would be crushing them up and sniffing them, I wouldn't be able to stop myself. These oxyneo's are abuse proof in that sense. If I'm not abusing them, then they are abuse proof. Haha. I actually really like them because I get good pain relief but I don't get 'high' off them. I don't get why everyone is hating on them - all I had was IR meds before and it was like a rollercoaster ride. Now I have IR meds and extended release. I really can't complain, and the doctors are aware that people don't seem to absorb the new 'tamper-proof' ones as well as oxycontin. So they prescribe higher doses of them. Anything that prevents me from crushing and sniffing them is a good thing in my book. I still definitely need my instant release, based on the doses I am given but the combination of them both is just fantastic. I still haven't been on ER stuff too long but it clearly makes more sense for me than the fleeting oxy IR high that only lasts a couple of hours unless I take a massive dose and wind up not just pain relieved but soaring high, only to crash a few hours later and need more. I was taking like 3 or 4 times what I was prescribed just to get by. Now I'm taking the exact doses that I am prescribed each day and doing just fine, and the overall dose is lower than I needed before. Instant release is good for me in low doses if I'm particularly in pain. Or it's good once in a while to take the day's amount at once and get some 'extra relief' - there's really no shame in that (in my opinion) to occasionally do if you're suffering a lot.

The way people talk about Oxyneo (or the American equivalent) makes it seem that it's not even like you're taking a narcotic. They are full of oxycodone. Makes me wonder what percentage of people actually take oxycontin without tampering with them somehow. I sure know what I'd be doing with them... there's nothing better than waking up in the morning and chopping one of those up for breakfast. Instant energy and relief. I made a promise to myself never to fuck with my nose again.

Chew them? Come on people. They turn into like this sludge I think and I heard that you can choke on them.They really did a fantastic job making them difficult to turn into IR or sniff or whatever. Sure you can still abuse them, just not instant-release-wise, which is a pretty big deal in my opinion. The rate it hits your mind totally has an impact on the abuse potential.

^Just chop the OP's up with a razor blade and eat the pieces if you're worried about the pill not digesting etc....certainly works for me. It's my tolerance that has me screwed now so I have to start taking a significantly smaller dose for a while to get this damn tolerance down! It sucks, I've been on oxy for over 12 months non-stop and have never gone through withdrawal but I feel that those that do go through withdrawal often because they've used all their script early really benefit because when you get back on the pills they should be more effective than compared to someone like me who is never off them. I dunno, but I hate this pain and I hate this addiction.
 
I received my MMJ package today, and am making a small batch of cannamilk right now. So glad to finally have this. Will report in the morning.

I just returned from the ER for obstructed bowel (according to CT). I surrendered to my hubby's pleas because I feared rupture.

Rough day here. Hope it's been a little less painful for my cyber sibs here. :(
