You will be better off starting a thread in the other drugs section for advice. Hope you find the answers you need.

Hey y'all<3
Been a nasty couple of days, and weathered the storm. I got lucky and my sister gave me a Vicodin 10/325 this morning and my knee & muscles pain is down to a dull roar. It's good to see others coming in, I don't feel like such a noob=D Still waiting on a re-fil, no word yet. I have my MRI in the morning for the ortho. woot.
My take on cannabis is yes, its a drug, and yes it helps pain and the side effects are few. Much fewer than narcotics. God made weed, I trust him more than big pharma. *off soapbox*
I'm taking a nap:|

What about the poppy that opiates are derived from :P you are right about the side effect profile though.

You feeling better than yesterday sweety? Hugs <3

Sitting at a 7.25, wishing I had more tram...lyrica/flexeril are okay for pain, but not nearly as good as opioids...wish I had some MS/roxi/soma...

Badley broke both ankles in the past and have done physical therapy a few times on each ankles apparently they didnt heal right well there acting up again along with my back. Pain at about a 7.5

GOD, How I wish I could go back to the days when hydrocodone would help my pain. It seems like there is really no going back once on the stronger opioids like fentanyl or oxycodone (I'm talking about doses of 60-75mg every 4 hours of the latter). It's tough. Tolerance is absolutely a bitch.

I know what you mean...20mg of hydrocodone used to hold me just fine before my "accident"...now a MS 60 still leaves me sitting in quite a bit of pain...

Do you remember getting excited when you got a prescription for 5 milligrams of hydrocodone to relieve pain?.... and it actually working lol? it really is a funny thing, people who are undermedicated wish for the kind of stuff we are on, but now here we are... telling people who are in the same position how hard it is once on the other side...
probably a complicated stupid remark, but I'm sure you know what I mean;)

I don't have a Rx for anything atm except the leftover lyrica and flexeril from the ER...

By the time I got a Rx of 5/500s it was post-op and I was beyond the point of that helping with pain...

The strongest Rx I've ever had was for BuTrans...

The only time I have access to MS is early in my friends rx month and when I have cash...

DO NOT, under any circumstances (unless you've lost control of your bladder/bowels) do surgery right away. Exhaust all other methods of treatments. I've had 11 rounds of noninvasive procedures from epidural injections to facet ryzotomys (look it up), and while they don't work miracles, they've got me up from being bedridden and I can live a semi-normal life. Surgery is the LAST option you take, when all else fails.

In my opinion, at least. Surgery is risky, unproven (not guaranteed to be successful in back injuries like this), and always carries a small risk of paralysis.

yeh, i had a dr trying to (onvin(e me to get a spinal fusion at age 18 - i quikly started seeing someone new. quak quak

Went down on my ER med Methadone from 20mg x 3 per day down to 20mg twice a day and the first week or so I didn't notice too much of a difference pain wise.

However, the last 2 weeks have been tougher than the 1st week as I've felt WD symptoms and more pain even though my IR meds (30mg Oxy every 4hrs) are exactly the same.

Tuesday, seeing the PM Doc again and am now nervous about any further reductions in my meds only 3 weeks after the 20mg drop in methadone.

Other than that, the season change (if you can call it that here in La La Land) has already started aggravating my back. Last winter, after only 2 back surgeries, I was miserable in the cooler weather. Now, with 2 more fusion surgeries under my belt this year I am dreading winter's approach.

Hope everyone is enjoying as pain-free a weekend as you can...

Mornin Y'all!<3
man, I read everyones comment of how they wished just a little bit of pain med would work, and i felt kinda bummed, none of y'all should have to go through what y'all do. When I was at the height of my pain issues, i couldn't get a doc to write me pain scripts for nothing, here and there is all I ever got. and being in cronic pain for 4 years with no relief almost cost me my life, made me crazy and one year ago this month I attempted suicide because i couldn't take it anymore, death had to be better than all the constant suffering. luckily, i had some major family support and a husband that wouldn't let me go. I count my blessings everyday for that, and not for getting into the harder meds, and if they would have given them to me, I sure would have taken them. y'all just healed a little place in my heart, I owe everyone a dinner<3
So, I didn't get any meds yet, my knee feels like someone is driving a railroad spike through it,but ya know what? I Don't Care! The better half and I had a one of those evenings when everything just goes well and easy. lots of good music, conversation and laughter. needless to say, I don't have to explain why my knee is worse than usual.=D and I'm on such an endorphin rush, I hope this shit lasts all day, its better than any drug.
off to the shower, going for dinner at my sisters, have a new favorite song in my head, and pain ain't fuckin with me today! I hope everyone could have a piece of this bliss, its so rare. Doomie!<3 *hugz, chickie*

WyldO...I'm so glad you had a good night. Sometimes just having a day where everything goes well goes a long way.
Bigg, I hope your meds don't get reduced too soon...why do you need to have your dose cut back, it seems like you're still in lots of pain?

Out of lyrica and flexeril now...down to nothing...this is going to be a fun 10 days until I get to go to PM...

This may be a sort of weird comment or question or whatever, but today sort of out of nowhere, I became curious about this substance...have you ever tried kratom? never have and now absolutely nothing about it ( except for what I learned today, which is basically nothing more than it's cheap and legal lol) but I see a lot of posts where people say it helps with withdrawls.
I'm not by any means encouraging you to try this. I guess I'm sort of curious about it and wonder if you've tried it? If so, what's your take on it? And if you have not, is there a reason why you wouldn't want to go there, or is it just 1 of those things you have not come across?
I will be thinking about you and hope you make it through as well as possible.

You have to order it online...it's an herbal supplement...but I'm good on ordering it...rather not order something and it not be of good quality...besides, from what I've read...any opioid tolerant individual has to take like 15 capsules of it...
