Yeah I totally feel the afterglow, for hours and hours, the hotter the temperature of the water, the better. I usually soak in 104F.

Cool, Im alright, it lovely to not being crying all the time from pain, a bit exhausted really. The ultrasound lasts about 4 or 5 days. The first 2 or 3 days are amazing, after my physio worked out the right dose I can go from an 8 to a 4 (or sometimes even lower!)

that's great man, without going into specifics, is it cost effective for you to get the ultrasound every 4 days? Are there any negative health consequences of using ultrasound?

I love hydrotherapy <3 I went swimming yesterday and while in the water I didn't notice any real pain. It also gave me a sort of "after glow" feel so relaxed today.

I also mowed the grass today. I noticed the clouds rolling in and checked the weather. I was like oh no! I dropped everything and started mowing. It rained on me hard in the middle of it. So if you don't see me on here for a few days I'm probably ill from it :(

Have you ever noticed that you can swim in a pool ocean or lake and not get sick but if you get rained on you get sick almost every time?

Depends, I could hang out in the Olympic rain forest for days on end and the rain is actually healing...then again I have lived in areas of the country where soon as your head & hair are soaked you can smell/feel the smokestack laden raindrops are 50% polluted acid. Blahhhhhhgggg
Hopefully that's not your sitchiation'...

Found some methadone in an old bottle last night, allowed me to take less oxycodone but the extra methadone (40mg) made me very sleepy, not sure if that's a good trade off.

Anyway, just got out of the pool after doing some of my aerobic routine from PT a few years back. Can barely stand now, in throbbing pain and aching down the back of my leg (and my near perfect buttocks.....=D )

Hope everyone had as much of a pain-free-weekend as possible! Off to the neurosurgeon in the morning, I need answers!! And some good news about my pain!

Actually having a good day...Feeling around a 6, but was able to crank out a 10 page paper on basic neurochem...guess anything is an improvement from the constant 8 i was going through last week...got upped to the 20mcg butrans, but doc said to just put on a second 10 until I ran out...well...lost the first "extra" I had over the weekend...so I had one last one when I noticed that one had disappeared...I put the last one on my back, but it came off in the shower...got an appt, because I had JUST gotten to the peak plasma levels of the 20 when I lost both patches so I was going from a full 20, down to a 10 that was wearing out...missed all four days of school because the docs office fucked up, then I couldn't get to the pharmacy on wednesday...got my patches on thursday, and the next day finally forced myself into some relief with 6mg xanax, 10mg hydrocodone (just cause I couldn't get another 2mg xanax), a tilt and 2 four locos lmao...narrowly avoided a dui that night but damn did i feel a lot better lol...

on the dui note...i was driving fine until i ran out of gas...tried to make it go on dry a couple times...was going up a hill and can't exactly push to the side and was too drunk to think to put in neutral and ease off the road...but at least i put it in park and turned the key off before passing out (on a very, very, very low traffic road)...woke up to an officer asking me if I had anything on me...I showed him my patched and handed him my med bag...he didn't even go through it...just said, holy shit, do you have someone close I can call? and thankfully got out of it lol...

self-incriminating i know, but w/e on that...not like i said i'm a cook!

Got a spine appt on the 13 or 17 (and I know no drug test passing questions, not trying to do that, but do they normally test you if they know they won't be prescribing you anything?), got urologist appt. on the 24, and I'm gonna have to schedule pain management later because of grass...decriminalize tha shit ffs already!

Dude thats incredible, you'd be in jail right now for the next 48 hours where I'm from for doing that, provided you have a clean driving record which you may not since you were driving under the influence. You're incredibly lucky to have escaped without hurting yourself or others! I hope you learned a few important lessons. (don't DUI, don't drive on E, etc)

like I said (and others said as well lol)...I was doing fine until I ran out of gas...and ya...I know how lucky I am...I swear...a lot of times, the only feedback I get here is, don't be stupid...no one responds to the other shit I say or they're smartasses...lol

example:
Me: New Regimen:
20µg/hr BuTrans, 10mg Flexeril QD, 150mg Lyrica BID, 3mg Klonopin BID...need a new muscle relaxer though...suggestions? OTHER THAN SOMA lol...

Response: flxeril is a muscle relaxer, and so is klonopin......

Guess I should have mentioned I had been on 90 flexerils prior to this month and was wanting something different and something a little better than kpin at muscle relaxation..

edit: my handicapped placard came in handy again I guess on the dui part...they didn't breathalize me...he just knew I was on medications, could tell I mixed a little, prolly thought I was a newb to the meds and the drinking as I turn 21 in nov...he was a really nice cop...

and hey...like I said...at least I put it in park in my lane before going to sleep...lol...and the strip of road was long enough to pass and it was legal...but ya...had he breathalized me...woulda been MIC, DWI (I'm pretty sure they put me well over .08), DUI, blocking the roadway, reckless endangerment...bunch of shit...

I had similar experiences with keeping patches in place (in my case fentanyl patches) and was introduced to Tegaderm patch covers. They have multiple sizes and are terrific in keeping the patch in place and not getting the patch wet. Big time pharmacies are likely to carry it (and some mom and pop places near a hospital) but if not they can usually order it within 24 hrs. Anytime I use patches I make sure to pick up the prescriptions at pharmacies where I know they keep tegaderm in stock.

Good to know, and thanks for the tips...I hope I'm not on these patches long...I can already see a bad trend of up and down being on this 7-day patch...it's like day 3 hits, it peaks, and then I slowly start to become more and more miserable until mid-late day 2 of the next patch...so it's like I get 2-3 good days and 4-5 bad days...and that won't do...how the fuck do I go to school like that...I can't help that my new patch day is fridays lol...

Sorry for the double post...since I'm thinking about school and all...

I'm regretting that I think I'm going to have to take a semester off because of health problems, meaning I won't get into organic I this fall and won't be able to do it in the spring because they don't offer it, thus, making it a waste of a year imo...I guess if I fail chem II because of missing last week (it's a 6 week course) I can retake that and take what I was gonna take, but it still sucks as I'm still working on my A.S. and no where near my goal, thus, pushing it further and further away...I feel if I don't try to go all the way with education, I'll get stuck in something monotonous and unappealing to my interests and thus result in something I've kinda been expecting since early high school with the issues I have...

It would be free if the stupid pain clinic would give it to me ! But they won't as it doesn't last for long. I can't afford it so my parents are helping me out which is great. No idea about any negative health consequences.

Know I'm blowin up the thread tonight...but just tried cardio for the first time in a year...1/4 mile...only reason it was that far was because of how far from the house I got lmao...13 minutes lol...part of it was attempted to be ran-ish (if you count holding a cane and walking quickly and painfully at a jogging pace to be running-ish lol)...about got about 20 yards this way...was huffin' and puffin' like I'd ran an olympic sprint by the end of it, pulled something in the not-so-bad leg...just getting tired of my friend's bitching at me wanting me to get better overnight...dunno how the fuck to do this shit...know it's gonna take time, but don't know what to do...and apparently me bringing in my med bag and taking my tylenol and lyrica is bothering them now because I'm "constantly taking handfuls of pills" so now I gotta let my meds decompose locked in my car in the 100 degree weather if I wanna go over there...wtf

I have been in your shoes and let me tell you that bringing my issues and meds to gatherings of friends eventually cause friends to become annoyed and turned off to the persistence "whining" and if your friends are likewise pot smoking and recreational drug users your meds become an object of jealousy and/or resentment.

I advise you keep your pain issues and medications within a bubble of family, physicians and close friends who will not judge or become annoyed by hearing about your issues. Even if you feel like you don't bombard them with your pain problems it may be likely interpreted in the wrong manner. I don't know how old you are but the immaturity factor may come into this mess if you have people who are envious of your pain medicines and are potentially people who could go after your pills the second you turn your head. I am not making blanket judgments of your friends. again, this is just my experience and advice.

Take a deep breath, keep your effort towards a pain free life a personal endeavor; Your positivity or toning down of speaking of your pain may in fact quell the situation and make you feel more comfortable.

I hope this helps somewhat; feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss further.

The reason your post was removed is because it was dealing with drug testing...this site doesn't allow drug testing questions as the sole purpose it gets by so much more than the other sites is that it's all about harm reduction...reducing the harm those that use might do to themselves...answering a question of will i be clean or not doesn't really fall into that category and can, in fact, be harmful...someone gets told they'll pass, so they take a drug, go to a meeting with their PO, then BAM, incarceration...or...someone, such as yourself asks a questions, gets told they'll be clean, so they go to their appt., fail a drug screen, and lose their meds...there can be two damages done here...

1. the more obvious...you have no more meds because of breach of pain contract...you go into withdrawals...if you were on benzos, you could die from these...your medical records now show you as a drug abuser and now you can't get any help anywhere...

2. The less obvious implications: the effect losing your meds are going to have on your emotional/mental health...i know if I got put on stuff that strong, and then had to go through a quick taper/get cut off completely, i'd fucking lose it, go nuts, and might even kill myself because I know life will be a living hell-hole for me from now on...

To answer other questions in your post (and I didn't have time to read them all...I'm no better at dose conversion than this calculator in the link below, and I know very little about IV use aside from proper technique and safety precautions...

Tolerance reduction though...if you've been on meds for a long, long time straight and not come off of them, your tolerance can drop in as little as several days to a week...either that, or you body finally adjusted to not being so "doped up" (not saying you get high from your meds, cause mine don't do fuck all for me in that dept.) that when you took your normal meds, the amount of relief made you feel as though your tolerance had dropped tremendously...it will probably go back up to the way it used to be within a couple days of starting to use again...

It may be completely different from this, but I kinda look at it like weight gain/loss...this analogy might be a bit of a stretch but stay with me lol...

I have a hard time keeping weight off of me because of my issues with pain and being forced into inactivity (plus the slowed GI tract and low testosterone from opioids doesn't help)...to get to where I can lose weight, I have to subject myself to a 3-5 slimfast shake-a-day diet (around or below 1000 kcal(Calories)/day), well...just like it sounds...that diet is extremely hard to adhere to and I end up falling off the diet within about 2 weeks...I may have lost about a pound a day doing my hardcore diet, but I gain it back 2-fold and in half the time...

this is how sumo wrestlers keep their weight up over 600 lbs even though they train 16 hours a day...something like that anyway...read it a long time ago...but morale of it is...if your body is used to something and has been for a while, then abrupt change comes...differences in how it reacts to it when it's re-introduced can be great, but if it's re-introduced semi-quickly, it will go back to the way things used to be just as fast if not faster...

Once again...please excuse the horrible analogy, just not much time at 7AM when I gotta go get ready for class...lol

I didn't abuse or overuse my meds I was unable to get them filled on time And didn't want to suffer or end up in hospital w/ withdrawals and I've been to hospital in this situation and they do absolutely nothing but treat you like a drug addict. Swim
Helped me out sometime we do what we can to get by , in this environment where u are only as safe as your last Rx you filled , it's rough, it doesn't help because of others shopping and bogus docs abusing the system , legitimate patients have to suffer
