Damn...that's all that I can say :(

Oh well, interesting series now i suppose! It's the first time in over 100 years that a team in test cricket has scored over 500 runs in the first innings and lost.....that's what that loss means....you fucked up guys :\

Eh, who am I to talk....

I came to an alcohol induced revelation today. think about this, Sydney has been having shithouse weather, cold rainy overcast, we aren't expected to win 40 less medals next olympics, we lost the rugby and now we lost the cricket. We are becoming our own worst enemies, we are turning into..........................ENGLAND.

^^

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

run for the hills!!!

but seriously :) this was a good entertaining test match and the better team won on the day(s). As I said before India have a fantastic batting line-up, our problem was our lack of bowling options and experience - also a HUGE blow losing Jason Gillespie during the day, hope he can make it back for the next test :\

Shaping up to be a very very interesting series...

CB :)

^^ you know thast makes sense.. we even beat them at the soccer..(oh how i was waiting for that moment!!) which is pretty much the last bastion of the sporting empire that they held!!

^^ how good was that win over England in the soccer!!

But back to cricket.....apparently Williams and Gillispie are both out of the next test.....McGrath has also been ruled out of the rest of the series....Has anyone heard how Brett Lee is going with his injury?

India's batting lineup is looking VERY strong....Australia has their work cut out.....lemme think of replacements....Bracken in for Williams....Lee (maybe?) in for Gillespie, or if not, I have no ideas :(

SOS!!!

^^^ Time for the rise of the victorian quicks Inness and Lewis. ;) Brett Lee will play Boxing Day, Williams ended up bowling on the last day so he can't be in that bad shape, and Gillespie... well who ever really knows how fit Dizzy is, i think they try to rush him back into the side too early, too often.

brett lee is definately gunna be there for the 3rd test, i'd like to see Hogg get a go

^^ 2nd that on Hogg.....he's brilliant imo....but he won't get a look in cause of McGill + Katich....oh well....

yep lee is in....williams will probably be there..said his shoulder will be 100% by christmas eve, so it's just whether it's good for bowling...as for dizzy, it looks very doubtful....

Ponting almost let the cat out of the bag when asked about comments that India were going to be next world champs...he looked like he was about to say "get fucked as if!" As it stands he said "If they think they can be world champs after winning one test match, (long long pause) good on them". IMO, they've got another thing coming! :D GO AUSSIES!!!

Well, I guess Ponting just showed he has another vital characteristic for an Australian Test captain: biting dismissiveness disguised as reticent sportsmanship ;)

I think he'll do very well.

god what is wrong with our bowling- oh year the amount of shit trucks we have delivering the cherry!

Macgill: can take wickets against england, but then again who can't? I have always hated this poor excuse for a cricketer, spins the ball too much- far away from the outside edge. No drift or variation or flipper. He's deliveries are very easy to pick. He's fat, can't run, catch or bat. Warnie may be a fat dickhead but at least he can bowl and is handy with the bat and can catch. Drop Macgill like the sniveling putz that he is and if he bowls dravid another full toss i'll personally jam a stump up his bulbous arse!

Brad Williams: c'mon he looks like such a rat boy, with that ugly face of his he should be dropped on this alone, despite his mediocre bowling performances. Will be useful in the future but needs to work on his technique

Dizzy: the only frontline bowler in the side, has adopted the role that riffel or fleming used occupy- a restrictive bowler who chimes in with a few wickets, not the strike bowler who takes 5 wickets an innings- which is what they are asking him to do now. Plus there's the every present threat of injury with this mullethead.

Bichel: earned alot of respect recently, and deservedly so! But needs to go on with it and really force the batsmen to take chances when trying to score of him. Look at Mcgrath Bichel learn to place the ball like him and you'll improve ten- fold!
WE WANT MCGRATH, WARNE AND LEE BACK AND SOON!
I still feel that india would give our frontline bowling attack a run for their money. However with this second string cohort bowling exactly like what they are it makes it too easy for india especially blokes like V.V.S Laxman and Dravid bashing it all over the park. Imagine what it's going to be like when Tendulkar makes runs. Not pretty i can tell you.

Looking forward to see if australia can bounce back, although their record of boxing day tests is less than encouraging. C'mon Aussie C'mon!
/end rant

Many people have worried about what would happen when the Waugh twins retire, how would we fill the batting void left by them. Not so many worried about what would happen when McGrath and Warne left the scene. Now we are seeing why we should have been paying more attention to bowling stocks.
I mean really when Williams is getting a game it means things are very sad. He is a total gumby as is the tool known as Katitch. Looks like Williams will be available for Boxing Day as will Lee. Lee would have to be automatic selection along with Bichel. Personally I'd go in with those 2, fuck McGill off as the game will be played on a bouncy mcg wicket that will support fast bowling, and pick 2 bowlers out of Kasprowicz who is finding form again and was recently recalled into the 1 day team, Damien Wright who hardly anyone rates as any good yet is the leading wicket taker Pura Cup and Bracken who seems to be a very promising bowler with advantage of being left armer.
Would be hard to drop Katitch since he hasn't done too badly with the bat and has taken wickets, is a brilliant fieldsman, but is still a spastic and shouldn't be in team (and wont be as soon as Boof is fit again)

Beech out

/plans to start a MacGill hate squad at the Boxing Day test

I wonder how the other members will feel about this?

^^ haha....i'm down on the 28th bro so we'll start it together..... *in really annoying dronney voice* "Stuuuuuu-eeeee, Stuuuuuu-eeeee, Stuuuuuu-eeeee, Stuuuuuu-eeeee, "

=D

Altho he does have connections with wagga (went to the same uni as me) so maybe i shouldn't be harsh.....eh....i'm up for the match anyhow! that is if it isn't finished in 3 days! Which I doubt.....the Aussies will have to play their very best I think to avoid a draw or (heaven forbid) another loss.....

^^ hehe....i'm a Brad Hogg fan too....he took a couple of wickets i think in the Aust A v India match.....who won by the way???? *hangs head in shame at not knowing result* Last I saw was india 0/4 in final innings.....haven't seen news....

^^ really? No brad hogg? eek, i swear i saw him there....maybe it was a report on a pura cup match....sorry :\
