The next big psychadelic

I doubt that our brains would be structured similarly enough for their drugs to work on us. But yeah, the prospect of Space Acid is too much to just disregard. Chances are probably good that some random mineral on an alien planet would be a tasty trip for us.

lol im down for some space acid

think of it like this, 2 diffrent species from 2 diffrent planets
For all we know aliens could come down here and our drugs like LSD could be deadly poison to them!!!

Ive always pondered this, like what if theres some form of food they eat on a diffrent planet that is good for them and all and we could eat it and go into a very intense trip or something

like you said, the chance of brain structure being very diffrent is a very big possibility as is the things on their planet. They could have chemicals, minerals, and all that vastly diffrent then here, things we never even knew exsisted!!!

Fuck, for all we know, maybe some other race has already mastered Anti-Gravity and Plasma Weaponry n shit
Just cuz we as the human race can build those things doesnt mean others cant lol

Taking psychedelics often gives people really novel and exciting ideas, some of them even end up changing the world significantly for the better.

You can be one of those people too. :)

The world we live in is ours to create. <3

I think the next big psychedelic will be DMT. I think the world is very slowly being more open to DMT, and especially with the Spirit Molecule documentary coming in October, that might just be the push it needs.

It seems most people have never heard of it, and this IMO is a good thing, because there is not much stigma around it that would bias people away from it, other than it is illegal and resembles psilocybin. It has never been considered a street drug, which would encourage intellectuals to take interest in it with an open mind. And when it is examined without prejudice, people will realize that it is very safe, has a clean physiological profile, and that it's existence in the brain may indicate it is a 'special drug' that can teach us a lot about consciousness and/or reality.

The fact that it produces a natural experience with highly complex new environments that only lasts 5 minutes may be the niche for our high-tech information-obsessed society.

Space acid... sounds interesting. I wonder what tripping without gravity would be like.

I bet they could find a better way of producing chemicals by producing them in zero grav. Sounds dangerous though.

I agree that 4aco-dmt is catching on quite well though. Possibly someone will create a new Freebase able tryptamine or somethin.

ive wondered this as well lol like hat would it be like to go into space and drop some acid or eat some shrooms or something

i bet it would be a truely amazing and remarkable experience to say the least

I hate to see things misrepresented as "mushrooms in a capsule." If you buy that you probably shouldn't eat the capsules IMO ;) As long as there is a culture for it we will have new psychedelics. Organic chemistry is amazing as Shulgin taught us all.

DOB is crazy. And on a side note, I saw very "aztec" imagery when on it.

We just need to keep people smart, which isn't always so easy. I think specialrelativity is right... LSD is the last and only "breakthrough" psychedelic. The 60's are not coming back. Though our political environment begs for it. We have lost our identity as a culture IMO. I could rant on, but think about that for a second. There is no sense of "home."

How about 2C-G ? It's very rare but from the shulgin reports it sounds epic..

DMT should be given to all school-leavers as a rite of passage. World would be a better place.

^Uhh.. not trying to be a dick, but those kind of statements really make me cringe.

DMT is just fine as it is, it finds it's way to most of the people who actually want to try it.

DMT doesn't give you anything either, it merely shows you what's inside of you.

^^^ can't say I've ever seen a heart, lung or stomach on dmt.

Dmt gives you a completely radical perspective on the notion of reality..

I was actually kind of joking... but there you go!

Good thing your post had some indicator, letting us know you were joking! :\

Ayahuasca is where the real magic is at. Smoked/injected DMT is just a roller coaster ride. You might be able to form some type of coherent whole out of multiple experiences, but a single experience is too absurd, too novel, to be quantified.

It wouldn't be difficult creating the next big thing, but it would have to have crowd appeal. Crowd appeal in mystical psychedelics would have to be dose dependent, the dose would also have to be <1mg to replace LSD.

You'll see it in our lifetime that's for sure, something that just blows acid out of the water. There's no reason that won't happen within the next couple of decades as psychedelic research progresses and reaches the mainstream, old heads and babyboomers will turn to psychedelics as end-of-life anxiety increases. Maybe I'm crazy, but I can see how this could play out.

I don't even think the dose matters all that much as long as it will fit in a single pill, but I agree I think something will come along. LSD has not even been around a century yet .

Well I'm sure more than a few things out of Shulgin's new book will be out... some of them look quite promising... that's one book I'm totally buying.
