The next big psychadelic

Mushrooms. They'll grow on dung in the grasslands which will become increasingly prominent as climate change progresses. Their aesthetic is organic minimalism, soft zen, beauty in the simple. This fits in nicely with the whole sustainable / "green" movement, which is fashion trend today and necessity tomorrow.

i was excited to here about the so called pi-paines which is supposed to be an lsd analog but i think most ppl will know the source and how dodgy he/they appear. ive never heard of anyone recieving it or testing it so maybe its never existed. a legal lsd analog or drug that is similar in effects would be of great interest to me and many others i think as real lsd is rare unless in the correct circles.

The next big psychedelic will be one that has minimal side effects and maximal benefits.

I personally feel the future is in religious experience/ego death-inducing substances. Considering how widely successful smoked DMT has become despite it sheer intensity, it's safe to assume the psychedelic community as a whole is ready for more novel experiences than which is currently provided.

LSD-style drug with an NMDA antagonist of some sort. Something that has the healing power of ibogaine and ayahuasca without the negative side effects.

Salvia is basically that drug, it seems to be far to unsettling and unpleasant for the majority of people though and most only go there a few times.

Salvia acts primarily on Kappa opioid receptors and D2 receptors.

Salvia is neither a 5HT2a agonist nor is it an NMDA antagonist.

Things like ketmaine + DMT, pcp + LSD, and the like get excellent reviews from very experienced subjects.

Personally, DOC is my second favorite psychadellic to LSD. If you have not tried it, you definitely should.

DOI was not as intense, but 48 hours.

I hear DOB is crazy

is the question really "will there be another drug revolution like the 1960's?"

i don't know... the propaganda pushed stigma of 'drugs' is so far reaching into the collective psyche - well except if it comes from big pharma!

Im aware of this but I was referring more to the LSD and nmda antagonist (dissassociative) like effects it produces.

I could definitely see 4-AcO-DMT catching on fast... little to no body load, crazy intense trips not unlike mushrooms but with (from what I've heard) a much more forgiving head space? Kiddies will be getting mommy and daddy's credit cards and ordering it by the 10s of grams just like they did with meph.

its been around for several years, i dont see why it would get really big all of a sudden.
Or at least not any bigger than some of the other famous rc's (2c-i, 2c-e)

So, while having a discussion with a close friend and tripping partner, we got into a discussion (as we always do) about psychadelics of the past, present and future.. And I do understand that me adding "future" into that list can present many questions.. Let me attempt to explain.

While searching a board much like this one, I came across a thread about Ayauasca and Peyote. Having never done either of these, my whole theory may be debunked, but I will continue anyways.

Reading through the thread, I saw that someone described the visuals of both seem to be almost "Aztec" or "Mayan" looking, which made me wonder.. If the Aztecs and Mayans were ingesting these powerful chemicals, they were obviously building their cities, etc from their visuals.

Now, I have dosed many, many, many, maaany times and I can definitely describe the visuals as "electronic" and "futuristic." When LSD was created, obviously, nothing was really either of those things, futuristic OR electronic.. But after 20-30 years of the drug being around, things started to change.. The world around us basically started to describe the visuals of an LSD trip, which brings me to the point of this thread..

Will there be another breakthrough in psychadelics? What visions/visuals from what future psychadelics will we model our civilization after?

Just something to ponder..

I think your on to something. OMG I actually told a friend about the "Indian" Aztec" "Pyramid" visuals. He asked me if i was dropping acid at the local taco bell. Which everyone thought was hilarious. Maybe it has something to do with a unspoken collective conciousness?

I dont think anti-drug propaganda is worse or there is more of it now than in the 60's.
In fact i think more people know the truth about drugs and more people are using them these days then ever before.

The 1960's wasnt a drug revolution, it was much bigger than that.
Civil rights, the sexual revolution, the anti war movement.
Drugs were just a part of it.

i dont think there will be a next BIG ONE.

LSD, mescaline and mushrooms.
Those are the big ones and will always be.

New things will keep coming out but they will mostly be sought out by people like us and wouldnt really catch on big time IMO.

MDMA is probably bigger than all of those. Though its been around awhile now , but I can definitely see something coming along.

There are many, many of 100s of psychedelic/psychoactive plants no white man has ever taken much less any scientist studied.

What visions/visuals from what future psychadelics will we model our civilization after?

I see a resurgence in the use of plant drugs and a more harmonious existence with nature.

when aliens make first contact, they gonna bring some dank shit

I doubt that our brains would be structured similarly enough for their drugs to work on us. But yeah, the prospect of Space Acid is too much to just disregard. Chances are probably good that some random mineral on an alien planet would be a tasty trip for us.
