Megathread The Netflix Mega-thread vs Netflix Originals Suck

^I wanted to watch season 2 but my bro hasn't seen season one so we are watching salem instead. Marathon watch!!
 
So far I'm liking the 2nd season more than the 1st... that's pretty rare.

CNN called the show 'high-brow'. I literally laughed aloud. Am I missing something here? I mean, sure, it's indulgently funny and enjoyable but the writing has nothing on shows like Six Feet Under, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men or Boardwalk Empire. I guess 'high-brow' has become at least it's not Everybody Loves Raymond or Keeping up with the Kardashians.

i am SO addicted to this series. spent the weekend watching season one back to back and can't wait now to watch season two (which is apparently darker than the first). best new series i have seen in a while.

^I just finished season 1 of OITNB and just watched first episode of season 2. So far seems more darker, first ep doeant have the light heartedness to it and alex is only in three episodes, but she pissed me the fuck off first episode of season 2, manipulative bitch. "because i was a demanding poochie" love that line. Also love pennsatucky i loved the acene where shes naked w her dude smoking and talking about the abortion. Taryn manning makes the perfect tweaker, just like brittany murphy did.

What i love most about the series is how the girls really reflected chicks i knew in jail, except exxagerated of course. And not as much lesbian sex.

i gotta ask (but will put my query in spoiler tags) a question about pennsatucky, as when the final episode of season one ended and the credits rolled i shouted "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the tv. i REALLY wanted to know what happened next?

did pennsatucky die as a result of the altercation between her and chapman? or was she simply beat up and recovered?

i have to wait two more weeks to continue with my OITNB addiction (as netflix is not available in my country) and its killing me. LOVE this show.

If anyone is thinking about watching Escape From Tomorrow...don't. Worst movie I've seen in a long time. Very disappointing and a complete waste of time.
 
Get a smart tv they are built into them and cheap at costco. Or you could get a used roku box on eBay for 20 bucks or 60 at a store. Make sure it's wireless so u don't have to run a long cat-5 cable along your floor to the tv,s u have hooked up. The final option would be an xbox 360 or Xbox one. Best value right now is roku.

about the 20 years it took to find the Higgs - Boson particle. absolutely riveting, even though we all know that they find this particle, i was so anxious and excited for them! you know? like...when athletes cry. when scientists sit and wait after they push the button. emotionally kills me every time. some of the most beautifully designed shit in there too. i mean the graphic design team for this movie deserves their own accolades.
 
I watched Jailbate yesterday. It was pretty good for a soft porno. Even though the lead actress is kind of ugly. Its like they took the idea of orange is the new black and made a porno out of it. Yeah it was alright.

watched this movie last night and it was fantastic. jeff nichols is without a doubt one of the most talented directors working today ("shotgun stories" was also superb, but unfortunately its not on netflix instant anymore).
 
got the two dvd plan. just pulled three dvds out of my mailbox and there's already one here. they send so many because they can't always get next in your queue to you in a day anymore. seems streaming quickly became the earner.
 
Has the new movie, lucy come out yet. It's supposed to be about this girl who went from ordinary to using about 100% of her brain!
