The most important lesson psychedelics have taught you

The greatest lesson I learned was not to sweat the small stuff in life.

....and it's all small stuff.

akuna matata my friends.

The seven big ones, in no specific order:

1) 'Time' is a concept, not a fact. It exists only for the mind incapable of non-linear thought.

2) Your body is a vessel. YOU are energy. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed -- therefore your body is just a toy you can control, and its temporary existence only affects the 'fun' you can have with that toy, not the span of your existence. Because you are energy.

3) THERE IS NO THREAT. The fact that we are here right now, that I am typing this, that, maybe, you are reading this, that my fiance is watching Fern Gully, that my bird is sleeping -- these observations made by myself, a mass of energy, means that this energy WAS ok, IS ok, and WILL BE ok. There is no threat. There is never a threat. To anyone. To Earth. To life.

4) Energy can take any form, and the act of believing in something, seeing something, or imagining something ensures its creation and existence, however momentary.

5) We are entities of energy, and quite advanced ones, but there are much greater entities and greater ones beyond them. Energy is energy and there is no limit to its conglomeration or expanse.

6) You can manifest yourself anywhere in any form (remember the "imagination" realization, number 4?). When your body, your toy, is no longer wearable you may take it/make it or you somewhere else.

7) I know my next 'somewhere else'.

That loving everyone is harder than it seems at first, but it's the only way.

1) We live to become one.

2) We are creatures and creators.

3) We are all subconciously connected, and our minds hold the etirity of eternity.

4) All you need is love.

5) The art of lucid dreaming offers escape from reality.

6) Whats not of this reality is incomrpehendable in this reality.

7) Reliogion is philosohpy not history and is intended to teach you how to find God within in you.

There is sooo much to it that I do not even think I could begin to explain. But I must say that all the posts in this thread has made an impact on my life lol.

DMT: Taught we "Its alllll good". All the little problems we have in life are nothing compared to whats going on behind that curtain. To live life positively and spread as much good energy as possible.

LSD:That we create our own boundaries. Whilst tripping I realised the world around me was not reality and thus I was my own master and capable of so much more. But why stop that in "reality"? Who the fuck has the right to hinder me from doing anything%)......

.........Oh yeah the popo apparently.:p

Whether it was pyscs alone, or a lot of traumatic/stressful situations within the same period I don't know... What I got from it all though, is: I am, and I am here. I will always know that much. That is static and always will be, so just do what you can in that moment. It was the best decision at the time, so don't beat yourself up over it later. The past and future were and will be, but they're not now.

Like Kurt Vonnegut said so many times, "So it goes."

To think out of the box. I've used it successfully in my science and am aiming for 4 Nobels... <-:

Psychedelics taught me that everything isn't always as it seems, and that you should really take a better look around you before you walk down the wrong path.

Psychedelics taught me that even though they're really cool and lead to enlightening experiences in some people some of the time, they're still drugs and the things they teach you really come from within you, not from the drugs.

Drugs just lead your train of thought where your sober mind wouldn't.

That I am a powerful being, that anything I set my mind to and focus on completely I can do, whether it be talking to people the right way, or lifting up ridiculously heavy objects, or dancing for hours without stopping due to breathing properly, or conversing in other languages - anything I want to do, I can...if I really try, and that this applies to us all.

That I am bisexual, as an animal, but that I only lust after men sometimes, not feel in love with them.

"Don't do opiates anymore" - Lesson has stuck with me to this day, no longer use any form of opiate or pharmaceutical. In general I think they've made me much more secure with who I am, a lot more open, less care about what others think of me (which can be a blessing and a curse, IMO). I still have room to grow and I hope that psychedelics always have a place in helping me know what it is I must do to attain that growth..

For me, psychedelics really helped me stop being such a narrow minded person. I really feel that taking acid/mushrooms really taught me to consider all viewpoints, even if they don't agree with my opinion and to not jump so hastily to conclusions. While this isn't possible all the time, it's made a dramatic change in my personality in a positive way I'd say in recent years.

That my reality is created by whatever it is I am focused on, that it is really all me doing it to myself.

That you have to take personal responsibility for your life, there is no one to blame, you are not a victim, and you are not going to die and cease to exist after physical death of the body.

That the universe loves you because it IS you.

Great question...

1. "You just don't know...it never goes the way you think it will". Just like every day, you really just don't know. We've been surprised we actually tripped when we didn't expect it. We haven't tripped when we really needed to and everyplace in between.

2. I learned I used to be an anxious person when I went for the first time and believed thought I was dying. Every trip since the first has been less and less anxious, and more and more fun.

3. It's OK to be selfish when you need to be.

4. I have seen myself, for the first time, as others probably see me. That was incredibly humbling.
