The most important lesson psychedelics have taught you

I was wondering - what is the most important lesson you have learned through the use of psychedelics?

For me, after several ego-death experiences in which I "felt" "God/god's" existence and saw through the fabric of reality, and then I heard many people trying to deny that what I had experienced was real, I learned to trust my inner experiences more than any outward / outside experience.

I consider this to be one of the deepest lessons of my life.

That we are all one. That you need to be aware of your own mind. That whatever goes around comes around...

Psychs have taught me to do a few wonderful things. . They have taught me how to open my mind to new possibilities. As well as seeing the true natural beauty of the universe. Most of all, especially Lucy. Has expanded my range of thought on how people interact with each other as well as their surroundings. You can learn much when put into new situations.

That there is much, much more to ourselves, others, and the world than we can ever truly comprehend.

I believe that the most important lessons brought on by the psychedelic experience all stem from the "meta-lesson" that is, to put simply: All is ONE.

Following from this:

How could we not wish to utilize our conscious capacity toward the ideals of love, positivity and unity? Exploiting other parts of the "system" will inevitably result in hurting the self, becuase the self is just a small piece of the one.

We can choose to be controlled by our fears, or guided by our love.

The experience of consciousness exists on an infinite spectrum, and we as humans have evolved to "tune-in" to a fragment of this experience; we have come to a remarkable point as a species where we can choose to take the reigns of our conscious experience and steer them into the infinite possibilities we know to exist, or let our fear of the unknown control us to the point of regression and/or self-destruction.

Steer towards love, life is a beautiful thing...

Here are a few that stand out to me right now, but there are many others:

* Many of the things that we (people) focus on and fill our lives up with are just cruft, unnecessary clutter. One way to a clear mind is the elimination of mental and emotional cruft.

* Likewise, the elimination of physical cruft leads to efficiency.

* Before undertaking any new task, become an expert at any tools to be used. This will prevent problems later and lend an advantage over peers at the task at hand. (Obvious, I know...)

* Loving kindness and ritual are two things I feel like I understand much better after using psychedelics than I did originally. Reading about them isn't quite the same as experiencing them.

* I developed my awareness of a special kind of spacial/texture/sound synaesthesia I possess after using 2c-e.

I'm generally wiser in my interactions with others than I was before I ate mushrooms the first time a few years ago. My relationship with my family has improved, and I've come to terms with a chronic illness I was diagnosed with a year ago tomorrow.

My recent ego death trip is something I'm still pondering...

The most tangible idea I've gotten is a kind of cliche one, but no less important- basically, everyone is right, no one is really wrong. It's all just differences in perception. This is not so much a big realization I got immediately in the midst of a trip, but something that has built up in my mind over time since I did started doing psychedelics, even just cannabis as well reinforces this idea. Now it's quite difficult for me to take a solid stance on most issues because I can understand and sympathize with both sides of the argument.

From my experience with psychs, although i have not used them extensively as of yet, but what i have learnt from the trips ive had is how to live my life in a more simple, happier way, since i started using lucy, i have found that i now find more joy in non material happyness, one of my most eye opening trips, i realised how we are born with nothing, and die with nothing, meaning we can work our whole lives to get that BMW, or big house or boat etc. which fair enough can make some happy, but in the end we die, then what is all that work worth. I find that relationships are one of the most important parts of our lives, and lucy has tought me to look after those relationships and build stronger bonds with those around me. Sure having nice things has its own bonuses, but i think that true happyness can be found in the simplest things.

...not to take sanity for granted

this and that everyone is in the same trip. Not to be a drag on other peoples energy, hold yourself up and try to help other people as much as possible because it all comes back on your multiplied

also ironically, not to abuse chemicals <3

i usually just lurk but i saw this thread title and was like, damn that's a tough one, what is the one most important thing, but before i could even finish the thought i knew that it was the experience of the all in one, interconnectedness of everything, interdependent arising, etc.

then i opened up this thread and half the posts are exactly that.

the experience of all in one/interdependent arising potently effected my life afterwords, it turned me on to Buddhism and totally changed the way my mind operates and the way i view the world.... it also felt real real good :)
