Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

I'm having a very hard time sleeping at night due to suffering from 40% burns on my body. My legs were burned bad and I have nerve damage. I would lay in bed and have restless legs so bad I wanted to climb the walls. I didn't get any sleep for days. It would even cause me problems during the day if I was sitting for a extended time. So, I tried Lyrica and was amazed by the success. I took 650mg at first and had a wonderful buzz for a few hours, then passed out. It took my roommate 15 minutes to wake me up after 4 hours of deep sleep. Freaked my roommate out, he thought I was dead...LOL. Woke up groggy for a few minutes and ran into a few walls but after coffee I was on point. I felt GREAT for a good 6 more hours after I woke up. I had a dr. appt that day and I was so chatty to the nurses and joked with them. I had an amazing time! My anxiety was gone and I felt like I had no worries. I even convinced my dr. to prescribe Klonopin. Lyrica and Klonopin made a great combo today. Highly recommended! Love Lyrica
 
Yes Ninae I did just that,thank you ,I weaned off of lyrica but kept low does gabapentin around like 200mgs a night,still on benzos and my tolerance has goen ou tthe window.
here is the problem,I recently weaned off the gabapentin and sleep is impossible,severe,and I mean severe GI issues.This is commonly heard of in other "lyrica withdrawl" communities.
On halloween I landed in hosptial with pancreattis ,nearly died.I dont drink or do other drugs so I figure it was related to lyrica W/d.
The Gi issues,the bloating and the absolute hell of detox from both lyrica and gabapentin is almost too mch for this old lady.
I took very small amounts of oxycet for awhile,it helped but ultimatley caused issues with my stomache.
I need some serious help here and believe it or not u guys know more about drugs than doctors.
I have a 20yr benzo habit,now a mix of ativan and 10mgs valium.
I gained massive weight on lyrica,but it is nothing compared to the pregnant belly I have now.
I am in some deep sh**t here and could use any guidance.
My idea was to detox from lyrica first then attack benzos,but my tummy is compleltely fried.
and sleep is a nightmare.
i tried upping the benzos to no avail,tried remeron for sleep ,have some backlofen havent tried it also have medical pot and have not tried it.
NOTHING helps my gut and i am not theonly one....thousands struggling with lyrica w/d ,and just hurting.
I realize my benzo use is complicating the w/d but hey will take along time to detox from.
Please,if you have any ideas why my gut is haywire,and an interim drug I would be grateful.
people have siad they feel lyrica has changed their insides in some weird way.I would agree but is it permanent?

I have horrifc breathing issues with sleep apnea.so many drugs are off limits.
I even have some morphine at home,small amount.dont wanna go back to gabapentin even in smalll amounts.
have a bupe patch lotza drugs ,terrified to take any of them.
3and 1/2 yrs of lyrica with benzos and here i am with horrific issues.
Please anyone that can give me some ideas -drs say go bk to gabapentin,they dont give a sh*t,but I do.I would be grateful for some response.
This is nothing short of hel,and I can only imagine the benzo withdrawl.

I'm about to start taking pregabalin instead of gabapentin again, for severe neuropathy. I just recently started taking clonazepam again, 2mg twice a day, so 2mg twice, about 8-10 hours apart.
I guess my question is, does anyone here have any experience mixing the two, and how much is the pregabalin going to potentiate the clonazepam? I will be taking 150mg pregabalin 3x/day. So, how strong will the clonazepam be at this dose? Is there a way to find out? Will the 4mg end up feeling like 5, or maybe 6mg?
I'm sure you all see where I'm coming from. I also take 400mg tramadol/day, and will be starting on another pain medication soon, a stronger one. I am currently tapering off methadone because I just had major surgery, but they still don't have a problem with me being on pain meds, because tramadol does NOT cut it. And methadone is a terrible, worthless painkiller.
But anyhow, my main question is: How strong will the clonazepam end up feeling, dosage-wise?
 
I have been on pregabalin for a while and here is my experiences. I have not been trying to get myself "high" on lyrica as I take it for anxiety (GAD). In Norway you can it for anxiety, but it is expencive. The first time I tried it was fantasic. It felt like I got my life back and for the next week it worked well. Then nothing. My startdose was 150 mg pr day. I upped to 300 and then 450 and decieded after a few months to discontinue it. I quit cold turkey and the WD was not too bad. A little more anxious than normal but not to bad. I had maybe 5 capsules left and decided to tapper off after all as to not waste the meds. I took 150 mg and WOW the feeling was back! I felt so good again. I tried another one the next day and did not get the same feeling. After that I tried every other day. 150 mg. And that is what I have done for a long while now and the good feeling has continued to be there and no tolerance. I think the reason is that I take such a small dose and let the pregabalin leave my body before I take a new one. It makes the days I dont take it a little harder but sometimes I take a benzo or Aterax. Sometimes nothing at all. Merry Christmas
 
ummmm.......soooo i ended a 7 year opiate run - which eventually led to IV heroin....been clean about 6 months and got prescribed gabapentin for old ankle injury (how the opiates started) anyway took 1500mg of the gaba loved the buzz...ended up getting my hand on lyrica but had to take over 2000mg to feel it but when i do i loveeeeee it. Only time im happy and in a good mood, feel energized etc if i take alot like 3000/3600mg its like im drunk with my coordination and nodding but it lasts all day and into the next day and when it wears down a little like when i wake up in the morning, or if i only take 1500 to 2000 mg i just feel a little wired, happy, friendly, social, if i could feel like this everday my life would be sooooo much better....i find as long as i keep it to the weekends, or at least 4 days in between i still feel the full effects. but i notice no one else takes nearly that much...i know the 3000 is crazy, and thats only when i wanna be FUCKED up lol but still even the 2000mg seems ALOT compared to any one else on here....any thoughts??
 
At first I got a slightly euphoric effect from lyrica (100 mg). Now it's not there anymore, although this could be partly a result of my weekend drug abuse.
For me it's also not sedative at all, it makes me awake.
I take it for anxiety, not recreational, right now 100 mg twice daily.
To you other taking it on daily basis: What do you do if you go to a party? Just drink? Any other drugs?
 
ill have to pregabalin and stimulants especially adderall have a wonderful synergy for me at like 800 mg i got perscribed lyrica 200/3x daily and abuse it every other day although its nothing like it used to be... even if i take a break still wonderful for a little mood lift complimenting stimulant/opiate highs, and makes em longer as well as a bad stimulant crash if no benzos are around
 
Does anyone know if Lyrica taken with MDMA will have diminished effects? If it does can i stop taking Lyrica for one day on the day I want to take MDMA?
 
I just got prescribed this 50x3 for back pain. What are your guys (and gals) thoughts on combining a therapeutic dose with cannabis and/or a low amount (teaspoon or less) of kratom? I regularly mix these with temazepam and alprazolam so I know what to expect with benzos but do you think it would be safe with Lyrica?

Also, since I like to take benzos 1-2 times a week and have for around 10 months. Will I still be able to and avoid becoming dependent? I know Lyrica is a gaba drug but would it be the same as just taking benzos by themselves?

Depends on how strong your kratom is. I tried this recently and a low amount worked. I then tried a little more and passed out. I think the stimulation will be normal or even diminished, while the sedation will be increased. That would mean it'll be easier to overdose.
I would also expect that you'll need a lower amount of benzos.

My kratom is just plain leaf and I'd say pretty decent quality. I'm not a daily user and I only do low amounts, one teaspoon with some weed gives me good effects. If I take it with a benzo with it I'll either take my normal dose and wait a couple hours so I can still enjoy the stimulation, if I take it at the same time as the benzo I do 1/4-1/2 teaspoon.

I'll probably have to skip the lyrica then when I take a benzo because my temazepam are 30mg capsules and my xanax is .5mg (1/4 of a bar) so it would be a bit difficult to reduce the amount.

When lyrica is mixed with benzos is it like just taking too much benzo and you'll just pass out and wonder what the fuck happened or is dangerous like mixing benzos and alcohol?

Na, what i meant is taking mdma without lyrica....I have just started taking lyrica so i plan to stop taking it on the day of mdma...other people have said it will work as it;'s not like an anti depressant where it affects your serotonin and you have to be off the anti depressant for weeks sometimes months to feel the effects
 
I'm flying on lyrica, klonopin and kava.

It's like the relaxation of weed without the fuzz.

Could someone answer this please.

I tried 50mg with a couple vapor hits and all I got was anxiety. I know this is a very low dose but I figured being a gaba drug it would keep the anxiety away.
 
Anybody else experience some pain and sensitivity (in my case deltoid) when they first started taking Lyrica? I started taking it last thursday and have only took 50mg at night before bed except for saturday which I didn't take any and took 100mg last night with a .5mg of lorazepam. When I first took it I noticed my arms were a little sore when I woke up but it went away. Today when I woke up my detoids were sore (like after getting a shot) and sensitive to touch. I took another 50mg at 3:00pm, it's now 6:15pm and it still hurts some but not as bad. Is this fairly common when starting Lyrica and if so can I expect it to go away when my body gets more used to the medication?

Thursday- 50mg
Friday-50mg
Saturday- none
Sunday- 50mg
Monday- 100mg
Tuesday- 50mg so far
