Yeah, just try and keep the quinoa moving around, use low heat, and make sure there's enough moisture. Though I don't know if all those would jive with the recipe that I didn't look at yet. :P

Last had a potato with a red onion, an egg, and half a hot pepper.

Wouldnt you not want to move it around tho - just let it cook? The little pieces would fall off if you stirred it

Dinner wasss LOL quinoa cooked in vege stock (i think i was inspired by this post) with steamed potato, cauliflower + zucchini, with lemon juice, salt and pepper, then about half a tablespoon of black tahini... sounds weird but it wasnt too bad! Pretty healthy - 'cept i think i put in too much salt by mistake.

Tasty salad notification:

Spinach, grated raw beets, thinly sliced onion, toasted hazelnuts, & mustard vinaigrette.

^ That sounds a lot better than my cooked greens from earlier!: Carrot greens, Swiss chard, beet greens, and arugula mixed with two other lettuces (that I heard you can steam/boil, with surprisingly tasty results!)

Because of my disappointing dinner (LOL, wasn't really thinking about working past 6 when I enacted a new rule to lose weight: "Nothing but non-starchy vegetables after 6p"), I made an orgasmic sandwich:

Two slices of raisin cinnamon Ezekiel bread with SunButter® and a banana. Mmmmm

Also, as far as to stir or not to stir the quinoa in that recipe: I see no reason why you couldn't stir it--I don't quite follow what you mean by "the little pieces would fall off," Taliana.

TAC, try using a tad more oil and slightly lower heat next time. :)

^ I should get around to picking up a jar of SunButter sometime soon. Considering my love for peanut and almond butter, I think it would be right up my alley!

I greatly prefer this organic, (relatively) locally produced sunflower seed butter that I picked up (made by Once Again, if you happen to have that by you :P). It's not nearly as sweet as SunButter brand--Nor as salty. But SunButter brand was on sale and I'm going to use it for a recipe (if it lasts!).

an Apple from my yard, Honey, Ghee, and half of a bottled water with the empty remainder filled with 'Bolt-House Blue-Goodness'.

after consuming these amazing sacred to me foods, i follow them up with tylenol and oxycontin...lol, uhg.

what i have not ated or drinked is whats more remarkable to myself -- today is the first day in almost two decades, that i didnt wake up instantly thinking about caffeine in some form, and tobacco - this was a strange sensation...;-)
now i am scared that i am going to fuck it all with the pressure, and relapse on my face with the stuff ! omgomgomg ! i need to call my CA and TnA sponsor.......
j/k

oh BTW, AP...;-)

you should read about your Dosha AP...
http://www.ayurvedicdietsolutions.com/Ayurveda-Dosha-Test.php
^
this is all accredited, researched and proven to actually do stuff like prevent tumors from spreading, keeping them local - for instance - correct the way our body process and digests, which has dozens of tested and proven positive results - one of which, is we allow ourselves to distribute and use the nutrients and what ever else we eat, this has many obvious benefits...but one biggy is the fact that our bodies water will adjust its Dissolved Solids to begin to correct the water in our bodies Electrical Content and neutralize or adjust the polarity, regulates the PH and acidic or basic content/make-up of our physiology.

it is one ofthe top three best choices i have made in my life; taking the little test to discover my Dosha(7/10 Vata i am). i found it absolutely accurate to my preferences of food or drink environmental conditions, and with in a couple of days, the benefits or positive changes became totally apparent.

i could go on and on and on.
please do take the "test", this is a 6000 year old practice, which is proven to be beneficial in the most profound ways, why if it is so great do we not hear about it?? simply, because eating a bit of CoCo powder for the Liptids, or Turmeric or Cucumerin, Rose water, cheap simple Saffron tea, many many things in your cupboard atm, are the things our Westren medical manufactures get their ideas, and trillions of dollars making.

so now they are "Home Remedies" .
this is a fact. and is one of the most powerful destructive exhibits of greed, sociopathological brain-washing of a masses(us), and pure fucking evil.

the proof is there and accessible with in seconds, but, again Ghee sounds weird, so does Cucurmerin, sounds strange enough to be distracting enough to roll ones eyes, chuckle, and dismiss again as a "home remedy" - while, there are countless medical abstracts from all around the world, which draw the same conclusion - it works and is almost free*, and is safe.

nothing is too good to be true, just as nothing is too bad to be false

^ Took the test. Guess we'll see what they have to say. Even if it says some animal product like ghee is the magical cure for me, I don't plan on eating animal products. :P

What made you think to recommend me the test? Was it something I said/ate? :P

hehe
why???

dont be silly, what other reason? 'cause i care.

this is important for everyone, after i took the test, and saw the recommendations - it was undeniable seeing how what was recommend to counter a Vata Dosha, listed all the things i am drawn to in the first place, or,
do not agree with either, at all - Ie cabbage! lol

it isnt all Ghee haha, i just like typing and saying that(Ghee), and eat a Tbsp in the morning at evening, a few hours before i go to bed.
the benefits of Turmeric, the actual "laboratory tested" and acclaimed benefits, are absolutely astounding. i, was dizzy, wondering how this is so under-the-rug. i pushed turmeric onto my parents, haha, using resources that they are familiar with, and the next day they went and bought some themselves, and me;-) to eat daily - so crucial - so silly sounding...i would bet, eating 2 tbsp of Turmeric a day in a glass of milk, at least the last half of ones life, would add 5-10-years to ones natural time of expiration.

hehe

much more then food, but exorcise, breathing, sleeping, general good habits and little routines, exorcise and stretching, possible allergies, climate needs, shampoo and soap, yots and yots...these are not at all intrusive, and, we each probably do a majority of the stuff anyways, because this is what helps define our taste in foods, or health quirks, environmental 'shoulds' and ' should nots'.

youll see;-)who ever decides to take a peek will - there are countless books on the subject, this stuff, Ghee for instance, lol, is one of the first words ever written. i mean to say that there has been lots of study and the subject...most of what will be suggested we probably do already, or is mentioned else where, with no mention of Ayurveda or Eastern Medicinal practice, but presented as the authors common knowledge.

i could make a thread, but, would be a fool to try.
