@delta_9: Pure salt (NaCl) is most commonly a mineral salt precipitated from an evaporating solution, and the actual salt being inorganic at that. But there are so many salt products on the market, and some are biologically derived or contain organic constituents... a lot of the time, an end-product can be certified organic, if production methods adhere to a certain set of ecological guidelines, and as such, salt can oddly enough be certified organic... So I'm with you, in terms of salt being inorganic, but it's possible to find organic salt on the market, as strange as it may be...
