Can't believe I never saw this thread before!!

I've been playing for ~10 years (am I really that old? lol) and I LOVE it. I've been in some bands but decided to choose a challenging major in college and focus on that so I don't jam as much as I'd like to : (

Started with the blues and damn do I love me some of them crunchy blues! I've also gotten into more experimental type rock as well as collaborating on my friends electronic music. I played in the jazz combo at school to get my humanities credits but they're all done now and I kind of miss is : (

I have a Fender strat, black on white, Gilmour style and an epiphone sheraton II (think ES 335) currently set up with some fat flats for jazz.

My amp is a marshall TSL 601, not bad but I've got my eye on a fender vibro king : )

Pedal wise I play thru a RAT deucetone (2 independent stage distortion) and BOSS ME-50 multi FX. The digital multi FX kinda throws off the whole analog vibe of my setup but at the time it was way cheaper than buying all the pedals individually and tryin em out.

Really all I'd like pedal wise is a nice analog delay, vox clyde McCoy wah (germanium transistors are RAD, I believe they add a tinge o a harmonic 5th, probably why they sound so bluesy) a Moog, and maybe even a nice phaser for starters. I really do love to create tripped out 'soundscapes' with FX but I use the FC listed above probably 85% of the time, so anything after that would ony receive 15% of my attention and thats just not economical right now! lol

i hope this isn't a dead thread seeing the last post was nearly a month ago. I was wondering if anyone waxes their own pickups anymore? If so, which wax do you find is the best and describe your method.

Whoa, that`s a nice collection of gear.
@milagro do you mean like after you wrap the wire then dip it in the pot of wax to keep it from getting microphonic?

can anyone identify this guitar? its played by tom cullinan who plays in one of my favourite bands quickspace. it has such a great sound i would love to buy one just like it if only i could find out what it is.

yeah its really very very close to that guitar i think thats it. apart from a couple of small differnces like the tuners, the controls and the bridge. aybe his is customised a bit or a slightly differnt model? anyway thanks for your help.

Anyone know much about BC Rich guitars?

I have a 1987 BC Rich, going by the serial number, it has made in USA printed on the headstock. I believe it to be an ST-III or an Assassin but it's difficult to compare because mine seems quite unique for those models.

It has one volume and one tone knob and it has a H-S-S set up with an EMG 85 and EMG SA's (i think). Floyd Rose bridge. There is a 5 way switch for the pickups.

It has a 24 fret ebony fretboard with no inlays and is a neck-thru body.

Any ideas about this thing? It'd be nice to pin down what model it actually is ha - i'll put up some pictures after work.
