No idea. I don't think anyone can answer that question authoritatively for you.
AMT has some stimulant properties which, for some (like me), will mean that an element of anxiety is part and parcel of the initial experience. I've never really had an AMT trip where the anxiety lasted longer than the first hour or two.
Personally, I've always found the substance relatively benign... but then I trip with it infrequently and ensure that my mind isn't being bogged down by other concerns.
If you've had repeated poor experiences (anxiety/paranoia) with other substances in a similar class, then you might wish to avoid using it. No sense in punishing yourself for upwards of 18 hours. If not, I can't help but feel there's an opportunity to exorcise your youthful negative LSD experiences. It's a crude description... but AMT will give you a close approximation of LSD's dripping visuals, but with a background reassurance and positivity that (for me) LSD has always lacked.
As ever, this is an entirely subjective assessment and your mileage may vary.
i agree that the anxiety the initial comeup brings can be quite profound, though as it you peak the anxiety goes away. its quite different too lsd, in that the visuals arn't as profound, you feel more in control over things.. stil yet to try the HCL. but hopefully this weekend will involve and nice hefty dose of aMT will bring back the good ole feelings
