I picked up on that straight off! They'd just had that bloke talking about how much it fucked your teeth up then cut to someone who said they'd been doing it double digit years with perfect teeth.

There's a chance they weren't real, or she'd had them professionally whitened I guess.
 
Anyone else think that the older guy that was addicted to meth with his wife looked and sounded like George W. Busch?

the woman who was crying? she looked more like she was really baked or maybe a little drunk, but definitely not as if she was tweaking
 
I watch/torrent alot of British TV and this guy Louis Theroux is a pretty well respected documentary guy. Couple of things I couldn't believe:
a) Fresno is the biggest meth hub in the USA? I thought it was in Oklahoma or Iowa...
b) These people seem to be playing to the camera - maybe because they got paid, maybe because they're high.
c) "It's gonna be on England TV, no one in the USA will see...", yeah except your parole officer on You Tube, dumbass...

Interesting stuff. Am about 10minutes in, gonna watch the whole thing and then go to bed and have meth nightmares.

I'm in my late 30s and in chicago I've never seen it until a gay friend admitted he had been using for 12 years and that his roommate/best friend was a dealer. He asked me to try and I did. Prefer downs, so not really my thing. Mostly rural except my friend told me its way big among gay scene along with GHB. Had no idea!!!

Being from the UK, Louis Theroux is well respected and I really doubt any of it if fake but it does seem suspicious. It was filmed a few years back now (3 or 4??) and the biggest meth hub in american might have changed since then.
One thing bothered me was when he interviewed the Bush lookalike and he said he shot up meth 10 or 20 mins ago, surely he would be tweaking out of his mind but he looked so calm and normal
 
^ Yeah, it's home bake Desomorphine, a potent opioid agonist 8-10x the strength of morphine (Heroin is 2-3xStronger). The problem isn't the drug itself, it's the impurity's that don't get properly filtered out which include iodine, various household cleaning agents and even some heavy metals I believe. To make things worse, needle exchanges are discouraged, leading to many IDU's sharing works, and Methadone nor Suboxone Maintenance are legal. The end result is drug users turning to a crude synthetic opiate that is easy to make and stringer than heroin. Unfortunately the impurity's left in the solution are incredibly corrosive to human tissue, which is why it looks as if the drug is eating the user alive.

and the scopolamine where people just lose control to control themselves. That seems like a drug that is ONLY gonna be used for malicious purposes..which is kinda what the doc is about anyways if you wanna watch it
