The Doof Thread

It was put on by "last minute production" was a great doof, maybe 150 turn out total, great setup, great sound! great doof!
 
Good to hear that its still happening out there. I thought the Perth scene must have dried up. Seems like every weekend has something!
 
i wanna plan my next doof.. any suggestions for events coming up within the next few months that are within victoria? i'm thinking royal doof but am open to suggestions, i'm fairly new to the scene but strawberry fields and rainbow took my breath away and am looking forward to another bush party
 
Anyone perth people out there gona be at "Kentic Dreaming" april 6-9th - 3 day doof put on by the biggest perth crew? gona be a awesome night expecting a huge turn out :)
 
Whos going to the 3 day freo doof (with accommadation) bunk beds and breakfast lunch and dinner WITH showers. Expensive but I might go.

Trilobeat is proud to announce a family friendly week end long camp , celebrating the electronic music and culture !

This project is half way between a community oriented electronic music festival (2 stages, a silent disco and a mini market) and a geek camp, featuring music production, lighting, lasers, and programmable electronics workshops.

Wait there's more ! Entertainments such as circus acts, independent short movie projection, personal development, yoga etc. are planned !

The best part of it ? It will be not even 10 minutes away from Fremantle, on a world class site : the Woodman Point Recreation Camp !

^ Does seem pricey, but having all your food included would take some costs off the weekend.

Busty... cheese board is a necessity ;)
 
Does anybody know of some upcomign doofs in QLD or around Tweed Area? I havent been to one in ages and am desperate for jsut lying around a fire and melting into the night!!!!!!!!!!
 
Progressions of Freedom is usually held on ANZAC day. In the past it has just been a day event at a Brisbane park but this year it is a 24 hr event starting ANZAC eve ad running until the next evening. Previous years they played the last post just as the sun set which suddenly dropped into a heaving dusty dance floor of epic proportions. This years site is a need to know basis at this stage but they have promised a Dawn service in the name of peace, love and doof.

Apart from that Harmonize isn't until the first weekend in June. It is a three or four day event up on the Sunshine Coast. You shouldn't have too many problems finding links to their website on Facebook
 
175 is pretty reasonable when u compare it to the average music festival is around 150-170 in australia these days
 
They have moved on from 50 punters with just a geni, a couple of lights and a barrel over a hole in the ground to shit in. Now days you are talking about thousands of people so you need security and port a loos, not to mention they provide international acts with amazing lights and installations. Less than $60 a day is pretty cheap when you compare it to even just going to the movies for a couple of hours. Better yet most doofs of this size usually ask for many volunteers so it can still be affordable for anyone if they are willing to put in the effort.

The $20 doof do exist, they are just smart enough not to post on Facebook and then find themselves responsible for 500 idiots. I think they call it camping with mates though.....

yes this is exactly right, this is a much bigger event than the standard secret bush doof thats on around perth, the vibe and atmosphere will still be all the same, it will be all the same people with maybe a few more less connected ppl that we can welcome into the scene :) the price is very reasonable when u take into account they provide you with food, bed etc. Ill think about going.

damn right. there are so many little groups of friends who go out and throw little throbbing parties every weekend.
the idea is keep them restricted to the people in your close circle of friends.
