The DEA is out for blood... from reading this document a lot is going down...

Do you think ANY drug in the hands of an uneducated person is a good thing? To say you're in favor of drug legalization but that MDPV should be banned because it's dangerous seems sort of hypocritical. If it's dangerous, then educate people on it like we would any other drug. Banning it won't be any more effective than banning MJ or mushrooms.

MDPV wouldn't be necessary if people had access to the other stuff so it makes the whole argument void. You're right though, it is somewhat hypocritical. I personally never saw the lure of MDPV... there are much better stimulants out there that don't commonly cause people psychosis...

I've been browsing it this morning after this thread put me up to it. Learned that a new substance (which I've never heard of) called etigabine has been placed in schedule V.

Also, carisoprodol was just put in schedule IV. It wasn't scheduled before?

stupid heads

When I used to go to the pain doctor (b4 i lost my health insurance) My doctor and I were talking about different muscle relaxors and she wanted me to try a different one as I have been prescribed everything from valium to baclofen (sp?) and I asked her what she thought about Soma and she like instantly got huge eyes and was like "Oh no no no, that is a major drug and very addictive! Plus it's a schedule II narcotic, your too young for those powerful drugs!" (im like sitting there thinking in my head.... Soma isn't even scheduled WTF?!?)

Schedule IV meds aren't a big deal to import though in reasonable quantities... A love letter is all you'll get if customs intercepts the package.

I saw this months ago, when the "2ce" death occured. I don't think they're going to be scheduling any 4-subs, there is no word of them in the media, and no one has really even reported a problem with it. I know that this is NOT about safety, but I don't see any true evidence that they're gonna schedule the 4-substituted tryptamines. I know they can emergency schedule, but something has to happen doesn't it? Also, with all the people who love the 2c's and 4-subs, I doubt supply will wane too much.

^I just hope people learn and NOT draw attention to the psilocin analogs. I can't eat mushrooms and I think 4-"oh"-dipt is quite amazing. I really really hope the DEA gives us some mercy and realizes these chemicals are NOT used for fun (except by morons). Also, as I wrote above, this chart is several months old and someone posted it in my 2c-x ban thread a while ago, and I found it myself previous to that reading through old microgram bulletins.

I see any continuation of prohibition as shooting yourself in the foot. What is the overall goal here? just getting as many people arrested as possible? The thing is, scheduling the tryptamines isn't going to do that. They'll be lucky to track down one gram of 4-ho-mipt. However, I have noticed that many sources started placing restrictions regarding the USA... and that is sad. (mostly due to pressure from credit card companies it seems).

I hope they find a new drug to smear that has nothing to do with anything spiritual, and waste all their resources on that. Or I hope Ron Paul steps in, or I hope for violent revolution. Just dont pass SOPA, don't enact any kind of "martial law", and dont ban things that don't hurt anyone!

The constitution has been shredded. I hope people realize how neccesary it is to bring it back, and thats why I think RP would be our last, real hope. Though, this is not a "political message".

Scheduling any of the 4-subs is asking for trouble.

PEAs kill people.
4-subs (by and large) put mushrooms to shame

Agreed like hell.

What's wrong with responsibly using psychs for fun?

And yes, fuck SOPA

I disagree this is a shame, however, I predict this isn't going to have any effect on the availability of RC's. It may change how people acquire them, a little or a lot, but not terribly much in the long run will change. :) Just be happy knowing that much.

The DEA should be part of the budget cuts. This is how they justify company cars, benefits, etc.

Thanks for posting this Magikat.

I dl'ed/read the entire "slide show" article. Some of it I get, some I dont, but this sucks. There are so many RCs I want to eventually try and some of these drugs that they are just criminalizing and tossing out as designer drugs do have some therapeutic benefits. I hope they don't just toss these away as I can see many good things could come from it. Wouldn't be our generation tho me thinks :(

Well the industry seems to be moving more towards things like NBOMe's, direct mescaline analogs (allylescaline in particular), and they're still mucking with cathinone derivatives (which I personally think is a dead end) - there is also talk about some possible new MDMA analogs... It is unfortunate that they're forcing the RC industry to "adapt" into these much more dangerous waters because their still stuck in draconian laws... I don't think they realize that with every subsequent ban something even more dangerous has come to fruition...

You are talking to a layman here so I have no clue what NBOMe's or cathinones or all that drug tekky stuff is.

But really, thanks for taking the time to make it more aware to people :)

But you are right, with every ban a new substance comes out and no one knows what it does in short term or long term. That's the double edged sword. Instead of criminalizing these chems, they should be researched (by certified professionals), figure out what the real dangers are, ban thee most dangerous ones and then just put restrictions on it. Like alcohol (which is so toxic for our bodies in high concentrations) and tobacco and/or treated like "supplements." Yes, I understand the hypocrisy in the last statement :\

Thats just my thoughts though and in the grand scheme of things, my words and thoughts wont make much difference at the moment.

Unless............
The BL community petitions and makes calls to their legislatures and plead their cases. Doubt that would happen tho lol.

I could see how well that would end... about as well as the Bluelight meet up that everyone had planned years ago - the cops were there waiting. =/

Honestly the only hope is for the scientific community to throw a fit and the only things they might throw a fit over are the cannabinoids because of the fact that some of them are actually quite useful...
