🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 The Dark Side Social Thread v. Darksiders Forever

Just had an hour long therapy session talking about fucked up shit & now I want to do drugs or drink alcohol ❤️‍🩹

Therapy is not bad if anyone reads this … I’m just an extremely broken bitch
I get that. The last thing I want to do is bring up an analyze all the stupid shit I've done. It will eat away at you. It's already eating away at me, it just feels a little more intense when you talk about it.

I'm fucking really upset right now and I'm not sure what to do about it or who to talk about it with.

I got this voicemail, it was from this nurse case manager woman for my injury. But the voicemail was not intended for me, it was intended for some fucking insurance adjuster ghoul. I have visual voicemail so I got a screenshot of it.

This fucking bitch, goes on to explain that she doesn't think I need physical therapy for the injury that rendered me immobile for nearly 5 months. BECAUSE I'M WORKING MANUAL LABOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently she doesn't understand how difficult walking is for me and how much fucking pain I'm in. They're literally trying to fuck me out of the most basic care from workers comp. When I talk to this woman, or her company, I am going to go ape shit.

I have not been this angry in probably a year. But it's like I'm just numb at this point, I feel nothing. I'm so used to everyone hating me, downing me, using me, insulting me, that at this point, I am just an empty vessel to be filled with everyone's inadequacies.
One of the best things I found that helped my back was when I was doing my own landscaping. Shovelling, raking dirt, loading up the wheelbarrow full of stones for the driveway, etc
Made me feel superhuman, in a way. Sounds silly, but that’s how good I felt at the time.
That was 3-4 years ago. I’d like to get myself back to that place. I was in the best shape I’ve ever been in in my entire life.

People suck. I know how exhausting dealing with people can be. Not always.. but man. Some people suck my soul dry.

I’m very sorry you have to deal with this shit.

I’ve seen bits and pieces of your story, and it seems like you have overcome same MAJOR things in your life that you should be truly damn proud of.

Keep on keeping on ❤️

PTSD shit, was having night terrors all night. It was so real, it felt like I was getting choked and kept waking up gasping for air needing time to realize I wasn’t ‘there’. My neck really hurts bad (I have a bad neck anyways from injury … but it’s worse now).

I need a Shaman or something. Pretty sure I’ll always be fucked up. I genuinely don’t understand why I didn’t die when my ex tried to murder me, why I survived or why I fought to survive and escape. Tortured woman.

I’m so sorry. Words cannot express just how sorry I am for everything you’ve gone through and are going through now. It’s not fair and it’s not right.

All I know is that you are so. fucking. strong. You survived for a reason. The reason may not be apparent right now… but I assure you, there is one. I hope you get to see that someday. Or feel it.

As always, sending you so much love, great vibes, and prayers. 🩷🩷🩷

^^^^ That hurts. I'm praying so hard. 🙏

I believe you, I am just in shock. What kind of injuries that people get are covered? Are only people who work in office covered?

Do you know any lawyers who would help, pro bono? Because you have proof and manual labor jobs as you know; lead to all kinds of injuries or even death.

Sorry to be negative, but man does it seem like everything is getting fucked up.

I really pray and hope things will get better for you. That message is shocking.

I’m new to this and trying to connect w ppl going thru detox, entering sobriety, maintaining sobriety. I’m getting off decades long opiate/fent habit and just want to feel ok.
I think you're in the right place, this sub forum and Health & Recovery are both focused on recovery and support. I will also leave a list of support group resources here for you. Feel free to reach out to me any time if you need to talk to someone. I have been through detox and addiction many times. I wish you the best on your journey and I hope it pays off for you!

They provide supportive, anonymous, safe environments to build bonds with others in similar situations, share knowledge, and offer structure and accountability to those that participate. - Admitting that one cannot control one's alcoholism, addiction, or compulsion;
- Coming to believe in a Higher Power that can give strength;
- Examining past errors with the help of a sponsor (experienced member);
- Making amends for these errors;
- Learning to live a new life with a new code of behavior;
- Helping others who suffer from the same alcoholism, addictions, or compulsions.

# __**Refuge Recovery**__
Refuge Recovery is a Buddhist-oriented, non-theistic recovery program that does not ask anyone to believe anything, only to trust the process and do the hard work of recovery. In fact, no previous experience or knowledge of Buddhism is required. Recovery is possible, and this program provides a systematic approach to treating and recovering from all forms of addiction. When sincerely practiced, the program can ensure a full recovery from addiction and a life-long sense of well-being and happiness.

Refuge Recovery follows the traditional Buddhist system of the Four Noble Truths, which begin with four actions.
1. Addiction Creates Suffering; We take stock of all the suffering we have experienced and caused as addicts.
2. The Cause of Addiction Is Repetitive Craving; We investigate the causes and conditions that lead to addiction and begin the process of letting go.
3. Recovery is possible; We come to understand that recovery is possible and take refuge in the path that leads to the end of addiction.
4. The path to recovery is available; We engage in the process of the Eightfold Path that leads to recovery.

- Meetings: We attend recovery meetings and commit to becoming an active part of the community, offering our own experiences and service wherever possible.
- The Path: We commit to deepening our understanding of the Four Noble Truths and to practicing the Eightfold Path in our daily lives.
- Inquiry and Investigation: We explore the Four Noble Truths as they relate to our addictive behavior through writing and sharing in-depth, detailed Inquiries.
- Sangha, Wise Friends, Mentors: We cultivate healthy relationships within a recovery community, to both support our own recovery and support the recovery of others.

Last time I lost a friend I was not even 25. This year Ive lost old friends like never. Recently my ex died and my best friend has his heart issues and shit. I called my exs mom to show some support. Really wild that no1 dies in 5 years (that I know of) and then bam 4 deaths in half a year. And these are people using (non lethal) drugs, doing to whatever stupid shit they did with their shit drugs

Damn, I am so sorry to hear about those 4 beautiful people who have passed recently. I hope you're coping okay <3 I went through something similar about 7-8 years ago, a bunch of friends OD'd all in quick succession, one of whom was my best friend. It was an incredibly difficult time for me to say the least. But always know that us humans are incredibly resilient, and you can and WILL get through this. I know it hurts, having loved ones pass away and seeing people we love suffering. But you are strong. Just take each day as it comes <3
