That's right Chopsy, it's one of the best local brands, imo. :) Their warehouse is in New Farm - you should do a tour when you're next up there, mention that you share the same surname as the brand and see what it gets you. ;)

I have been drinking bugger all Coffee the last three weeks since I have given up cow's milk (back on Soy),. It's great, I have been sleeping much better but still enjoy at least one cappucino a day :)

Kara is the best Starbuck. I am pretty sure you could bounce coins off most parts of her. I imagine she would smack you around the back of the head if you tried though :P

We have this machine too, very happy with it.

It's good to hear you're back on a health kick Klue, if I remember correctly you were pretty happy with getting in shape last year. Now I just gotta do the same myself.
 
^ Do they attempt to disguise the fact that it's shit? Or is it simply just shit in some fancy packaging?
 
On a totally related I so want a Civet. So cute.

I drink a mocha with one sugar every morning and if I drink a coffee in the afternoon usually a cap. with one.
 
I had the kopi luwak beer recently.

Mikkeller Coffee Stout, damn nice but a $39 per 600ml bottle you wouldn't exactly grab a sixer for your buddies bbq
 
^ Oh well at least it wasn't $855 a bottle like that strong beer. You know you're marketing your product to rich arseholes when each bottle comes wrapped in a murdered furry woodland creature.

So here's the skinny-

$32 for 100 grams near Kintamani in Bali.

Tastes strong, but no bitterness at all.
On first taste I missed said bitter taste,
but after letting the mouth have a linger
I really dug it.

So it's strong, black + reasonably thick
(I had an espresso tho'...)
no bitterness,
sorta tastes musty or earthy
exotic I guess.

Actually the grind was too fine for the coffee machine
and ended up blowing the front off it
with hilarious results.

I'd drink it occasionally, but not really for the price.

my cup of tea...

I don't really do short blacks much, but do love a flat white a day. Is there a whole elitism thing going on with Civet Coffee where you wouldn't spoil it with milk? Like the good booze and mixer thing?
