The Cigarette Thread

2 1/2 weeks without a cigarette!!!! Easy to do if you stay home. Have been drinking at home to condition my brain that cigarettes and alchohol do not have to go together.

After this I'm going to try to limit my self to 5 when drinking per night.

I started just for the buzz but that faded quickly i do however love getting stoned and then smoking cigs. My favorite brand is either winston/marlboro 100s (both red 100s) or pyramids

As much as she has a smoking rack ( see what I did there?) she has only a DD and that set was at least an E, more likely EE.

was feeling a bit fruity yesterday and went to my local tobacconist to get a pack of watermelon flavour darts to share with the mrs over a few beez neez froffies, tried them about 6 months ago and they had several flavours (strawberry, vanilla, choc) and were alright for a bit of a joke and now they have been completely banned in Australia. I understand that kids may be attracted to watermelon flavour but what ever happend to freedom of choice? i choose to smoke and thats my decision, you only live once, i dont think the government understands that :(

weallmissmdma I dunno how you can smoke them kreteks and complain about the taste of B&H but to each their own. ;)

I have been smoking quite a bit lately, never been the heaviest smoker despite having been a daily smoker for 7 or 8 odd years now, but recently my appreciation for a nice marlboro red with a cup of coffee or bourbon and coke is really increasing.

I smoke Camel Filters. I'm 26 now -smoked Newport 100s BRIEFLY sometime around age 20. I started legally smoking (16yrs) with Marlboro Regulars and Kamel Reds. Marlboro lights when I'm w/ my boyfriend-he buys cartons and so... I always get a few free packs. Needless to say I'm not too picky: If free I don't discriminate but if I buy... Camel ONLY. I dislike menthols~only liked Turkish Jades (Camel) but they no longer exist.

I used to smoke a shit ton. Quit for 3yrs now I smoke as I need. I don't find myself physically addicted but crave them when I am empty handed. I think I just like the act of smoking-and the use as a potentiator.

The only time I like cigarettes is when I hafe a strong opiate high as they potentiate it and give mini rushes within the high. Any other time I hate the little cancerous buggers ;)

I've smoked for 6 years now without a day off, ranging from 3-4 a day to 30-40 a day. I started smoking B&H rich as parents did, went through winnie blue, winnie sky blue, JP superkings (when unemployed) and now b&h smooth. I love cigarettes

Victorian councils call for statewide outdoor smoking ban

Victorian councils call for statewide outdoor smoking ban

VICTORIAN councils have demanded the State Government ban smoking in public outdoor areas.

Formal demands for a statewide smoking ban in alfresco dining areas and playgrounds has been put to the Baillieu Government and councils also want a similar ban for beaches, school entrances and sports grounds.

The Municipal Association of Victoria says co-ordinated action must be taken on health grounds and to eliminate confusion because some councils have enacted smoking bans while others have not.

The City of Hobsons Bay is tonight expected to approve a smoking ban at playgrounds and at Williamstown and Altona beaches.

A Monash Council ban on smoking at playgrounds will extend it to public pools and around council-owned buildings, including sports centres from October 1.

Port Phillip and Frankston councils also have limited smoking bans while other municipalities are considering laws.

MAV president Bill McArthur said a plan had been put to Health Minister David Davis for a uniform ban on smoking in outdoor public places.

"In addition to proposing state smoking bans for alfresco dining and playgrounds, the MAV is asking the Government to investigate and test community support for bans in other public places such as beaches, sports grounds and facilities, and outside school entrances," Cr McArthur said.

He said several states had already banned or were considering alfresco and playground smoking bans, with smoking causing 4000 deaths and costing about $5 billion a year.

A spokeswoman for Mr Davis said talks were continuing with organisations including VicHealth over future anti-smoking measures.

"The Baillieu Government has also acted swiftly to amend the Tobacco Act to enable prosecution of people who smoke in cars with children and also to indicate its support for plain packaging of cigarettes," she said.

Hobsons Bay councillor Luba Grigorovitch said the beach smoking ban would take effect in about a month if it won support.

Roll your own tobacco

This may seem a silly question ... and no, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it (but I am Aussie, so I need opinions from an Aussie market perspective).

Which brands of tobacco (preferably roll your own) smells the least offensive?

I am trying to limit this terrible habit, but can't seem to give up completely, and am married to a non-smoker, so just wondering if there is any brand that wouldn't smell as bad, and therefore annoy him less. Oh, and I don't ever smoke inside our house or car, so I am talking about the smell on my clothes, hair, breath etc.

Well I have predominantly smoked rollies, as I've pretty much always been dirt broke since I started smoking. I personally go with the Champion Ruby, although there's a new line of alcohol flavoured champion I'm pretty sure. Port Royal smell like rum something chronic and the taste eventually just makes me sick. Rollies have less chemicals, I recently swapped back from tailoreds and you just feel that they are better for you, not good for you but better. The taste is more organic in my opinion.

The best rollie smokes I've had were probably the Marlboro Red Pouch, I think they're new. I usually buy Marlby Red in packs, the pouch version is cleaned with water and no chemicals. You can DEFINITELY taste the difference.
But yeah e-cigs are good for not getting the smell on you. Also just brush your teeth as much as possible, keep your tongue clean, I always noticed that smoking leaves all sorts of disgusting plaque like stuff on my tongue probably chemicals just gettingcaught over time, and this is what causes bad breath, you just have to be vigilant. As for clothes and hair, perfume and deo.

I know what you mean Tangerino. I know that NO cigarettes are good for you, but yeah, I feel like at least rollies have a few less chemicals.

The only rollie tobacco I have ever tried is Winfield Gold, but was considering trying Champion Gold (it's the lighter version of Champion).

I've heard a lot of people say that Bank has a nice smell, but I don't know if they mean nice smell according to a smoker .... or nice smell in general
