They have a smell. Its stronger if you use higher temperatures though. The smell is different from the smell you would get if you were to smoke the weed. I would imagine if you were using it and somebody walked into your room they would smell something but they wouldnt smell cannabis smoke. It smells more like the cannabis itself just heated up.

I think people will know whats going on because you will be all fucked up!

yeah, i don't know if i would say they "stink". cannabis smoke certainly can stink, and vaporisers definitely have an odour - quite a strong one, but it's different to the smell of combusted cannabis.
i don't think i would recommend it for the purpose of smoking in your room with nobody noticing, even with a lot of incense or something to mask the smell, it would still be there.
i would recommend vaporisers generally though...a great investment.

Hey guys I was thinking about buying a vaporizer.

Do they really not smell?

Id like to use it in my room without anyone being able to tell whats going on.

No they dont have a smell. My one doesnt, maybe all the others do I dont know. The bowl is covered up with the elbow and nothing can escape from it. The only time it will have a smell if you take the elbow off the bowl when its hot/warm and allow the vapors to come out or if you dont plug the balloon. If u dont cork it or remove it, it will smell like popcorn. Vaping on very very low temps will nearly eliminate that smell. Not once has anyone smelt it in my room ever.

^Thats a good argument for getting one of the ones with the bags. Mine has only a hose so the vapors are constantly escaping and it has no plug so you have to sit with your thumb on the end of the hose if you are worried about the vapor escaping

I find smoking a regular pipe and just exhaling through a few layers of tissue paper is enough to filter the smell out of what you exhale. Just have to be careful that no smoke escapes the conepiece while you're smoking and you don't cough too early - you have to do the cone in one hit, so be conservative in how much you use.

Learnt through fucking it up many times when I lived at my parents haha. Generally not a good idea when you're already pretty baked.

I just vape my weed in a pipe used for vaping meth (obviously cleaned in between substances), works pretty well and is way fucking cheaper than buying a vaporizer.

You can buy one of the best vaporizers on the market thats just as good as a volcano and costs as much as a decent bong. Its funny how people skimp on things that will benefit there health.

I was checking out the ICM website yesrerday and saw some awesome pics of a chap in NE Australia growing a heap of Malawian Sativas out to their full potential. They looked a little different to the ones I encountered in Northern Malawi but very impressive all the same. Not sure if we are allowed to link to that particular forum. They didnt look like they would fit easily indoors (4m tall) but I'm sure an industrious individual could manage it...

I've always found sativa seed sourced from Africa and Asia really busts out when given a bit of TLC outdoors under Aussie growing conditions. With no competition for light, nutrient and space some have turned into raging monsters, like beggars at a banquet. I grew some Northern Thai's two seasons running that took 11 months to finish and were harvested mid-winter. Bastards wouldn't stop growing. They were between 4-5 metres with predictably disappointing resin yields due to the cold and wet where I live at that time of year. Mates with their own ways of doing things also found them hard to control outdoors, but some success was had under lights with a single Thai horizontally espalliered through a sheet of 15x15 cm. weldmesh. It filled the grow-space where 3-4 smaller plants would have fitted and produced masses of new growth every time it was trimmed. Everyone reckoned the bud was worth the effort but the mate said it was all too hard and went back to indicas.

If you want to choof-up in Holland these days you might as well emigrate and become a Dutch citizen now the Cannabis cards are being rolled out. Once again, underground we go.

^ i'm sure the black market will still thrive, and the police will continue to turn a blind eye.

still - one step forward, two steps back all the time.
it's about time the west came to terms with the fact that cannabis' illegality is a mistake of history and bad US imperial policies. no doubt uncle sam had a role in this latest dutch law change, that ugly old bastard has his finger in every fascist pie.

Or maybe the Dutch locals were just sick of degenerates loping into their pretty city and just getting high. Amsterdam is seedy as all fuck around the red light district and as much as I enjoyed my time there, I sure as hell wouldn't want that scene in the neighbourhood I live in. I agree you will still be able to source some fine weed there, it just won't be as easy as it is now.

^No doubt, there is a really stark contrast between the locals just going about their everyday business and the hoardes of stoners coming in from the UK on the weekends and also from further a field. I'm sure if you lived in or near the Red Light district you would tolerate such things but not necesarily like it.

Does anyone know what the deal is in California as far as foreigners are concerned? Can anyone visit the doctor and the dispensary as long as they can pay? I could see this being a better destination for stoners wanting to go on a holiday involving high quality weed in the future.

I was a bonghead for about 8 years, then I had a psychotic episode. The episode was brought on by a huge binge of drugs over several days at a doof. Lots of speed, G, MDMA, alcohol, 2ce, 2cd, nos, temazepam then a drop of very strong liquid. I'd also been smoking mdpv with choof nearly every day for about 4 months. I don't know if my cannabis addiction (and the mdpv mixing) made me predisposed to the episode or if it was just the combination, but I couldn't enjoy pot again after that. I HAD to have some form of benzo in me in order to not experience paranoia and anxiety.

Had one toke of a joint the other week for the first time in 6 months, was on heroin so it went okay.

I hate the shit now, the potential for psychological issues, especially those predisposed to mental illness, is quite significant IMHO. If I want to chill I'll just pop a few benzos and have a couple of drinks.

I must say though that when I was smoking daily I vastly preferred homegrown to hydro.

Thank fuck I am going to be making it there before the end of this year when you can still buy cannabis legally as a tourist! Honestly I would be pretty surprised if this ends up flying in Amsterdam as it would affect tourism a lot and I know the mayor of Amsterdam is opposed to these measures, it seems almost certain to be implemented in the rest of the country though...

I have always wondered what the go is with people visiting California, I am sure if you hurt yourself you can get a script for Vicadin or something so it wouldn't be that consistent if you weren't allowed a cannabis prescription, but that obviously doesn't mean it wouldn't be the case.

Psycosynthesis, I don't get the distinction between homegrown and hydro? Just because its a small personal grow doesn't mean it can't be done hydroponically. I almost always prefer peoples homegrown to commercial buds (usually hydro, but not always) but it is just logical they would be better. Someone growing for themselves and maybe a few more people is probably going to care more about having potent genetics rather than high yielding strains, they also have more time to devote to each plant seeing as how they will have considerably less plants to tend to than a commercial operation and the buds are much more likely to be cured and manicured well than when buying commercial bud.

as for people discussing cannabis tourism, wouldn't canada be a better option than california?

i'm thinking specifically british columbia; doesn't vancouver have "coffee shops" like amsterdam? also, i don't know what the specific laws are in the USA or canada, but i have a feeling it would be a lot worse to get busted with a bit of grass in the US. might be wrong about that, but the canadian attitude towards drugs seems a bit more liberal than the prison-industrial complex that is in place in america.
if i'm wrong about this (i haven't been to the US in over 10 years) please let me know, but i get the feeling there'd be better places in the world to smoke grass than the united states.
hell, i've seen some pretty impressive looking canada-only cannabis mail-order websites. in that regard, those cats are light years ahead of us 'strayans.

i wonder also, if you got a medical marijuana card in america, if that would be likely to affect your medical record/insurance premiums in australia? i'd rather by cannabis in a well organised black(/grey) market if this is the case....but shit, those edibles in MMJ outlets look enticing.

^ Well-nailed. Authorities will have the devil's job shutting down trade in Amsterdam, though the border towns will certainly filter their customers sooner rather than later, officially. Groningen is still well-worth the trip on a bunch of levels and it will be grim when it gets crossed off the list. But I just can't see how they're going to do it... fucked if I can.
